"Stopped here with a business partner to try one of the lunch specials . I got the two small barbque platter they had on the special that day It really hit the spot. The waitress was very friendly and kept checking on us to mame sure everything was ok."
"Most restaurants have cooks: Winfield's has a chef--an accomplished artist who knows food. The quantity, quality, and presentation of all four of our appetizers and entrees were impressive. One of the two best appetizers I've ever had, the filet with gnocchi would satisfy most diners as a meal, th..."e steak grilled perfectly and the gnocchi light enough to float in a consomme. My wife's seafood medley, served on risotto, was not only tasty but aftertasty (my neologism!). My lemon veal had a wonderfully understated garlic flavor, just the right amount of lemon, and a delightful surfeit of capers; the potatoes and brussels sprouts (almost al dente) were not what I would have chosen as accompanying vegetables, but that's more a matter of taste--my taste--than a criticism. "Jim's, Millville's #1 little burger joint, now that Joe Torelli isn't around any longer. I go there for the burgers and fries with a side of sauce, so I cant comment on any of the other food. I don't think this is the kind of place that outsiders will understand. The food isn't off the charts good, ..."you wont say that its the best burger you've ever had or anything like that.
I guess its more of an institution for people who grew up here. Us locals can't go there without running into a handful of old friends. The burgers are small, but good and priced fairly. Sometimes you have to wait in line to be seated, but the food doesn't take long to get to you once you are seated. I never went here when Joe Torelli's was open, but things change and this is the next best place.
my only advice is to get back home or to your hotel quickly after enjoying your lunch, trust me you will thank me later.
