"This place opened up last year, and it's the old Sous Chef from Rocky Crest Resort. He did a great job there and doing even better with his own menu. Nice to see the emphasis on fresh local foods. I love the wine list, and he does a great salmon dish. Also he's created the Muskoka Salad... smoked tr..."out and cranberries.. it's amazing. He made best new restaurants in the country so I think he's onto something.

"On May 17/13 we were looking for a nice place to have lunch in Port Carling. We spotted Ella's Place, looked neat and tidy from the road so we tried it. Chose to sit on the deck -- what a great place to enjoy our meal. Over looking the Moon River I believe. The food was excellent and plenty of it...". our waitess was very knowledgable and prepared. Service was excellent. This has to be one of Port Carling's best kept secrets. This place is awesome and we will be heading back very soon.

"Turtle Jacks is a great resturant right on the water in Port Carling. The resturant has two sections. A large inside dining room and a patio outside. You have a choice at either. However you will need to check in at both if there is a waiting list. Each will give you a buzzer to call you when y..."our table is ready. This is a great idea as you can go outside and shop in the small square of shops and the buzzer will work in that area. They have a huge selection of foods which are presented in white urban type dishes. All breads are from the Ace bakery...yum... All selections are very fresh.
Also great sangria. If you want a nice trip to the muskoka area and a good lunch or dinner, then try Turtle Jacks.
