"We had an early dinner there while traveling. My husband had the diablo burger with sweet potato fries and I had the garlic sirloin with a baked potato. The steak also had a good-size serving of fresh steamed broccoli and some garlic toast. I wish we had room for dessert! They make all of their des..."serts and the dessert case looked great. The portions are large, the food is freshly prepared, and the price is reasonable. The restaurant is very clean and the decor gives it a nice feel.

"Locals know that El-Cocinero is always packed at lunchtime, and usually fairly busy at dinner, too. That's because the owner and chief-cook-server-bottlewasher serves up an honest plateful of food. "I'm a local, and I eat at the Squeeze-In every now and then. My favorite meal is the Reuben Sandwich, no sauce. It's big and fat, pastrami and sauerkraut on rye, grilled. I always tell them to "skip the sauce," it's greasy enough without it, but boy, I love it. Just a warning: the fries are home-mad..."e, from real potatoes, but the oil is not up to my standards, so I skip them too, and get the Cole-slaw instead. As others have said, the pies are delicious (and dangerous). Great service, friendly atmosphere.
