"This was the highlight of our brief visit to Ilocos Norte: eating a top-quality German meal, with a view of provincial rice fields, while laid-back American folk rock blares over the sound system. (Oh, the wonders of globalization!)
Using primarily locally-sourced ingredients, Bergblick manages t..."o serve up extraordinary dishes in a hearty Teutonic manner. We ordered several meat-heavy dishes -- including the excellent Bergblick platter -- and we left with our appetites thoroughly satisfied!
The staff were courteous and attentive. And the friendly owner/chef -- a one-time celebrity cook in his native Germany, I believe -- gave us wonderful, personalized service.
My only qualm is that it felt just a little pricey, relative to the size of the portions, especially for somebody who isn't thinking in terms of the Peso-to-Dollar exchange rate. But that's ultimately a minor gripe, for the overall dining experience.

"Casa Consuelo restaurant boasts of native Ilocano dishes, where you dine with beach ambiance—under a hut, on wooden tables and bleachers. All the food that we tasted here are sumptuous and authentic Ilocano.

It’s dip-- fish sauce with chopped onions and tomato, compliments the pork with a unique salty sweet tang. They also have grilled talakitok, sinigang na lapu-lapu and were gracious enough to cook our day’s catch from the nearby store-- several pieces of lobster which they so adorably spiced with butter and garlic giving the fresh seafood a sweet...

"We arrived there lunch time and the place was full. Good thing we already have table reserved for us as part of our tour package. Our food order was delayed because the place was so busy that time. I was excited to order the famous bagnet for it will be my first time to try it. It was a disappointin..."g experience the taste is not that good. But i find the pork belly which my son have ordered really good. They have a wide range of food selection in their menu but quite expensive.
