while about 0.6 km from Shinjuku Station, this hotel can make a perfect headquarters for a Tokyo stay. Rooms are large, and for Tokyo, quite reasonable. They also have a reasonable continental breakfast, both Japanese and western items. We found the staff very friendly and helpful.
Within five short blocks is Shinjukugyoen Metro stop - just two stops from Shinjuku station. The same line also serves Ginza, and with a change there, Tsujiki and its famous fish market.
More importantly, one of Japan's best known parks (en), Shinjukugyoen is just two more blocks down the street from the metro stop. For those who like walking, the imperial palace and East Imperial Garden is about 1+ km from Shinjukugyoen.
We were most pleased with our stayed, and if ever back in Tokyo would not hesitate to stay there again. Besides, the best French restaurants (and reasonable) Table d'Hote we have ever visited, as well as a great Italian (la girasole) is three blocks away. Ask the hotel staff.
We also saw several families there.More
