We stayed 9 nights at Sugar Marina Resort ART for a holiday.

CONTENT: Nearby the shopping center and beach. Good location, very friendly staff, super clean and nice. I recommend this Hotel for everyone. Nice and close to beach and other amenities, only 15-20 mins or less by car to Patong and Town. Hotel is family hotel; Better holiday for families. Swimming Pool of hotel is very big and long. Hotel has a so beautiful garden. Breakfast were good, will fresh fruits and juices, fried eggs and everything you would want for breakfast; they don't have lunch and dinner service. BUT outside of hotel has better many restaurants for breakfast and dinner; that restaurants are too close to Hotel. We are thankful all persons of hotel; And especially Mrs. Pap and Mrs. Meaw we're so helpful to us...

POORLY: Everything was very nice... AND Hotel is saying "One child from 4 to 12 years is charged THB 550 per person per night when using existing beds." BUT I check hotel rooms, that's not possible; Because rooms place isn't available for existing bed. AND Hotel is taking extra price for each child upper 2 years age. That's bad for everyone also for us; Because child is child, when they will be 12 years age. We are thought about that; Hotel has to change that policy.

Room tip: "The pool and garden view rooms..., and good working A/C unit in the room"

I stayed here last year and it was much more comfortable and private then i expected it to be. Would surely go there next time. Clean, quite, decent and just few steps away from the beach. restaurants and stores are just in the vicinity.

Really lovely staff here! From the minute we arrived they were so friendly and welcoming, it makes all the difference!!!
We opted for a room with pool access which was lovely however the weather was raining which couldn't be helped!! The rooms and hotel itself are very clean and modern!
The room was lovely in itself however the shower was quite poor with hardly any hot water!
We were woken up at 7.30 am by drilling which was unbearable! We were told that the other building was under construction which is why we opted not to stay there but it was infact our building too which was very annoying!
Apart from that it was a nice place close lots of restaurants and bars, just a few hiccups to be ironed out!

I had posted a more negative review earlier in the week however I think I was just being a grumpy traveller! I have since asked for the review to be deleted.

This hotel is lovely. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the use of art and colour give it a unique feel. The breakfast is excellent offering a huge range of fresh pastries, breads and fruits in addition to eggs, bacon, yoghurts etc. There are also the usual Thai breakfasts.

The pool is clean and is possibly the longest pool I have ever seen! It is quite narrow but it stretches the length of the building so is more than adequate for anyone including the kids!

The pool area now has a fake grass to make it easier to walk on the hot floor. I do think the hotel should install umbrellas in the pool area as shade can be hard to find.

The hotel reception staff are exceptionally friendly and eager to resolve any issues for you. They are extremely happy and greet you on arrival/exit every day.

The wifi is fast and reliable, and there are free to use modern computers in the foyer. Laptops can also be borrowed from reception for free. The tv has satellite tv with a good selection of English speaking channels.

The hotel is clean, well furnished and ideally located for restaurants, shops and the beach (20m away!).

Absolutely brilliant stay - we extended our reservation by three nights despite the building works going on (which is kept to a minimum).

Will definitely return to this hotel!

we booked a superior room with breakfast for 3 nights in August. The hotel and rooms were designed to an artsy theme. The bedroom was kind of weird, when we walked in the bathtub was on the left (there was no door) and the toilet and shower was on the right. i felt like the bathtub was very oddly placed.

There was some construction going on infront of the hotel and inside the hotel so it was really noisy in the morning when the construction started.

nonetheless our stay was very pleasant, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the pool was amazing! the buffet breakfast changes daily and we had a lot of choices, it was also very yummy =)

Location wise it was very good, right across the road from the beach and very near all the restaurants.

I would stay here again or check out other Sugar marina hotels!

Room tip: I would choose a pool side delux room. those rooms are right by the pool and you can literally roll off your balcony into the pool
