I stayed this place with group of people on business but I realised that this is a nice family holiday location with super large rooms , nice beach location and good food. Its far away from city of Phuket but for beach lovers , this is real nice place . I had a nice time with their kitchen training academy where we all learnt some nice thai food making . Massage on beach is also a nice attraction to go for .

only challenge i faced was with no establishment nearby for food or shopping and hence you might end up paying a lot on food

Stayed here after staying in the city close to the action on Bangla and Patong area.
While it was good to stay in that area for about 3 days The Marriott Beach Club was experience was absolutely First Class. Right from check in to the rooms. Its a bit pricey but there is a small shopping centre next door with a couple Restaurants at reasonable prices as well as a grocery store.
The beaches are great with Miles to walk but a bit isloated, if you are looking for a "night club" life. Perfect for R and R for a week.
The villa can easily accomodate 6 and has large Bathrooms as well as fully equipped kitchen.
Stay here for a few nites, you won't be sorry.

Nice and huge grounds, if you just want to stay within the resort. There's a small little place with some shops nearby but the shops are quite boring. The good part about the resort is that there are several pools that you can try out. The 'kids club' is the worst I've seen (the one at the sheraton bang tao is the best) and there's not a lot put into making fun kids activities.
The location is far from any other fun place so you have to take a cab really far away to get anywhere interesting. Don't go around June cos the sea is too choppy so you cant even swim in it.

Room tip: the 2 bedroom villas are great for a family and they have a kitchen that works

We had the pleasure of staying at this resort for 3 days while visiting friends. We generally stay at more mid-range accommodation, but this hotel/time share was incredible. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty with a lovely welcome of flower leis, cold cloths and drinks. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo, which was fantastically furnished and equipped. It was huge with everything we could possibly want including a huge balcony. You have full access to the JW resort and there are 3 lovely pools to choose from. We were traveling with 3 young kids and spent most of our time at the kids pool with a great waterslide and large shallow area for toddlers. Pool service was excellent with drinking water immediately brought out and lots of sunbeds and shade umbrellas. The infinity pools were beautiful with lots of private nooks and crannies to relax in. The food at the resort is good, with resort pricing. We had the private chef's BBQ on our balcony one night and it was a great carnivore's meal. We loved the Siam deli where we could get pastries, grocery items, or even a quick meal. We did stock up on some essentials at the Turtle Village small grocery store. It is expensive for Thailand, but convenient if you are not doing a lot of cooking (otherwise it would be worth your while to go to Tesco Lotus). Massages on the beach are pretty good and inexpensive (400B), although you are quite close to the other customers. The kids club is excellent and offers lots of activities to keep the kids busy. Our 4 year old daughter loved dropping in for various activities and it is really conveniently located near the children's pool. It is a distance from Phuket and you are therefore limited in getting off the resort. There is a local restaurant on the beach next door that we ate at a few times and it was good and a lot cheaper than the resort. We really enjoyed doing happy hour at the Blue Bar on the beach, where there is a great Canadian musician that plays great guitar and sing along music. Everywhere we went on the resort we were greeted with smiles and amazing service - very impressive.

My family just came back from 5 day holiday at this amazing place. We had 4 adults and 1 toddler. The villa layout is perfect. One huge master and a decent size double room. The sofa in the living room folds out to be a sofa bed. Mpbc is part of the jw Marriott and therefore we got to use all the facilities of the 5 star resort. Pools were very nice and the food in the restaurants we tried were very good, we went to the deli, cafe and the seafood grill. All very good and not as pricey as some of the reviewers were talking about. Very good and friendly service and amazing kids club, with indoors and outdoors play area. Will definitely return.

There are 2 beach clubs attached to the jw Marriott. I would def pick this one and not the Marriott Mai khao as that one is a bit further from all the facilities of the jw marriott
