Ideal location on Isla Mujeres - 5 mins walk to beach (Playa Norte) and one block from restaurants and shops (Hidalgo) which gives easy access to amenities but keeps you away from noisy bars at night. Relaxed place with a few ants in the shower - but spotless sheets, comfy beds, A/C, ensuite. Very good value at $50 a night during the Christmas peak season. Would stay again.

Compared to other hotels on the island, Xbulu-Ha is well priced, in a good location and a nice place to stay. They offer beach towels, free coffee in the morning, fridge in the room. The rooms are not huge but certainly enough for one or 2 people. Staff was friendly. Very comfortable place to stay. Good price for what you get.

I stayed in Xbula-Ha twice. June 2010 and June 2011. Great location, safe, quiet, very clean, and friendly staff. The first time I stayed there by myself and I felt like at home. So I went back this year with my boyfriend. We loved it there. There is a fridge in the room, so we could stock up some food and COLD drinks. I will definitely go back and stay there every time. June is a great time for Isla Mujeres as it is a low season but it isn't the rainy season yet.

We have probably stayed at the hotel more nights than any other guest. We found this hotel shortly after it was opened, and booked it for the following year. Since then, we have spent months staying there. It's the best. Gabriel, the owner, is most accomodating - satisfying any reasonable request. The staff is wonderful. We think of them as family. This really is our "home away from home".

Room tip: The rooms in the back of the hotel are quieter because they are away from the street noise. However, all rooms are nice, and are very clean. Alfredo does a wonderful job keeping the place maintained for Gabriel and his guests.
