We stayed at the St. Regis Hotel, August 1st, in Vancouver. We were in Vancouver to catch a cruise the next day. The hotel was walking distance, about 6 blocks, down hill from the dock. The hotel was clean, the staff was very helpful but the room i was put in was quite small. My husband and i couldnt pass in front of the bed at the same time. i was disappointed in this. I asked to be moved but was told the hotel was book. This seemed strange because our friends were upgraded to a suite. I made the reservation for both rooms and for some reason they were given the suite. There were other rooms with king beds but for more money so i know. Obviously the hotel was not booked. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel had good food and Vancouver is a great city.

We stayed at the St. Regis for a few days after our Alaska cruise. We could not have been more pleased! The location is perfect for walking to explore the general downtown area of Vancouver such as Gastown and Canada Place/Convention Center area, as well as ideal for picking up easy public transportation (one block away) to anywhere else you want to visit.

The staff were SO helpful to us and made us feel very welcome. They answered all our questions, and made great suggestions for things to do and see. Our king bed room was very comfortable and well equipped, and looked to be recently refurbished. The bathroom was large, clean and modern, and had all the amenities you might expect. We were also very happy with the free Wi-Fi, international calls and bottles of water each day. Also included was breakfast. I was expecting a continental "buffet" type thing, but was pleasantly surprised that it was a sit-down meal with more than enough ample choices to fuel a day of exploring the city.

St. Regis = Excellent location with outstanding service and great amenities!

Note: The public transportation in Vancouver is easy to use and very affordable and you can walk about everywhere you need to go. But taxicabs are also an option for travel. They are available within minutes with a call from the hotel. You can get anywhere within the city for around $10 tops. It costs about $40 to get to the airport from the hotel.

Room tip: We stayed in King Room 409. We thought the room was great. Some people may not like "city" noise during the evening/early morning, but Vancouver is, after-all, a city. Personally I did not have an issue with that and we loved the location. Still, I'm sure that they have inside rooms available if requested for those who are not as used to ambient noise in city hotels.

We had a wonderful stay at the St. Regis and I highly recommend it. We only stayed one night, as our cruise left the next day, however I would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Vancouver. The room was lovely, everyone wonderfully friendly, and a full breakfast is included with the room, complete with eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, etc. They even offer free international calls from the room, so we were able to call home without huge roaming charges to our cell phone. Our room looked onto the street, but it wasn't overly noisy at all. Bathroom is stocked with great toiletries and is quite luxurious. In fact, the bathroom was almost as large as our room! We love this hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver.

Really nice hotel with very well equipped / hi-tec rooms, very pleasant staff and in a pretty good location to easily walk to most of the marvellous city sights. I would highly recommend this hotel, but make sure you don't get a room at the back of the hotel where the adjacent restaurants air con units whine away all night (the hotel staff were good enough to move us after the first night) and be aware of the 15% tax added onto your bill!

From the moment of our arrival to the time of our departure, the staff at the Saint Regis were very friendly and attentive to all of our needs. The room was lovely and the included breakfast menu of choice gave us a great start to our day. We would recommend this boutique hotel to anyone looking for that personal touch.
