This hotel with newly renovated rooms is conveniently placed about halfway between Barcelona and Toledo. While the outside is tired and soulless, the rooms themselves are freshly decorated, spotless and very comfortable. The service is excellent (but then I have never had bad service in Spain) and the cafeteria serves quite decent snacks/small meals at all hours, making life easy for those of us who can't wait until 9:30pm to eat. So, there's the pluses. The minuses? Well despite advertising wifi in the room, it was patchy at best - in fact I could only get it to work once. At times it was difficult to use even in the public areas. And the heating in the room didn't work - at all. Just blew cold air on a night when it dropped to around 6 degrees. Brrrr. And don't expect a view from the rooms or the cafeteria. Despite a semi rural approach, all you will see is the carpark or the buildings behind. So, there it is. A bit of both. In short, relatively comfortable, but with the minuses I couldn't call it great value at 64 euros.More
