The hotel / B&B is located ideally in the centre of polperro and comes with a large secure car park across the street with relatively easy access in this narrow laned town. In amongst the shops and minutes from the restraunts and brilliant pubs, plus easy access to the harbour and cliff tops. We had room 8 for 3 nights, a good size room although fairly basic. It was very clean and quiet and sleeping was not a problem. The upbeat host always makes you welcome and her enthusiasm is refreshing. My wife loved her afternoon hot chocolate on the balcony served at a very reasonable price and she rated it as the best she had in the UK.

We arrived at the hotel on a busy weekend and had a fantastic stay. The cost of the room was extremely reasonable, especially for peak season. We had a clean, cosy and modern room with a very comfortable memory foam bed. We were greeted by friendly Carina, who showed us to our room and was very chatty and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of the village, with restaurants, pubs and the harbour very close by. There is also a secure car park opposite the hotel, free for guests. We had a lovely stay here; we were made to feel very comfortable and welcome throughout the stay and would definately go back.

Polperro is a bit out of the way to use as a base for exploring Cornwall, but we managed. The hotel itself is clean, and the Hungarian host was extremely pleasant and helpful. She checked us in quickly and led us to our room. The room was small and the bathroom tiny. It was fine for a couple of nights. Breakfast was the standard English. Parking is free, right across the street. We ate at Admiral Nelson's and recommend that very highly.

The hotel could not be better situated, right in the centre of Polperro.
The car park is located across the road at the front of the property and is covered by CCTV.

We were welcomed by a lovely couple who could not do enough for us, helping to unload the car and carry the cases to the room.
The room itself, room 8, was situated on the first floor at the front of the hotel overlooking the Coombes. It was a decent size with a double wardrobe, dresser, small table & two chairs, a refrigerator, and a very comfortable double bed with memory foam mattress. The en-suite was a good size with bath & shower, WC, and handbasin. We found it very clean and tidy and fully adequate for our needs.

The breakfasts were absolutely superb, setting us up for the rest of the day.
The sausages were especially tasty. If I had any issues, it would be that to much toast was given, two rounds per person was to much especially with the large portion of the Full English! The whole breakfast experience was made even better by the wide smiling happy Carina who is, without doubt,is one of the happiest people I have ever met..

Nothing, and I mean, Absolutely nothing was to much trouble for her, she never stopped working. I do not know where she gets her energy from, and always happy. She is a human dynamo! She is very well aided by Arpi who is also happy and willing to help in any way he can. They make a great team and together do everything to make the stay at the hotel a memorable one.

To close, we would like to say that we will definitely be back and would recommend staying at The Claremont to anybody.

Thank you Carina and Arpi for making our stay a wonderful experience See you next year!!

If you are unfortunate to have poor weather while in Polperro do not worry if you are staying at the Claremont Carina's sunny presonality and infectious giggle will make sure your stay is sunny. Great place to stay with two young people working very hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Highly recommended.
