Stayed here for a one night stopover. The room was very basic- no elec socket apart from the tv, no bedside table.. The shower room was so small that the basin was in the bedroom. You couldn't open the shower door fully, and could only just close the main door if you were using the other 'facility...' Lots of traffic noise outside. Breakfast was one croissant, some bread, orange juice and coffee. Overall experience-too expensive for what it was.

We stayed here during the tour de France. It was clean and basic and the price reflected this. There was noise from the traffic outside as we had the window open due to the hot weather.
If you want a budget option and don't mind sharing a bathroom, then it is a good option. It's a brisk 10 minute walk to the port and 20 minute walk from St. Malo old town.
If you're not in the fit of your health it wouldn't be idea as there are some very steep stairs to climb and there isn't a lot of room to in the bathroom.
