We had a pleasant overnight stay while returning from our holiday from South west France.
The layout is rather unusual for a french hotel insofar as the rooms were in separate buildings laid out in a parklike setting. This may be an attraction or disadvantage depending on personal preferences.
Anyhow our comfortable room had a pleasant outlook over the grounds and there was no sign of the 'dilapidation' described in previous reports.
We stayed for dinner, see our pictures, and thoroughly enjoyed each course including probably the best mushroom soup I've had in my life.
I agree with others that the breakfast was a bit 'lightweight', no eggs on offer for example, but the coffee and pastries were first class.
The out of town location suited us although obviously it doesn't suit everybody but in this day and age you can check exactly where the hotel is before you book it so if people complain about the location surely it's their own stupid fault for not looking it up beforehand.More
