We spent five nights in this hotel for a mid November holiday and found it an entirely satisfactory base from which to explore the city and surrounding area. It is very centrally placed with plenty to see and do, and good restaurants in the area. It is quiet, modern and well run. Breakfasts are excellent. One very small quibble is the fact that you have to log in repeatedly to get wifi. One log at the outset in would be much less irritating! Recommended.
Very good location right between the old town and harbour. Good breakfast and big rooms but a little impersonal. What pulls down the rating slightly is the reception staff, even though they were professional it didn´t feel like they were interested in us guests.
We first visited this lovely hotel at a Malaga Business Minds event three months ago. A super hotel in a great location, right next to the Cathedral. Easy underground parking in the Marina car park and the hotel is just two minutes away. We have since been there several times - business and pleasure.
My wife and I flew into Málaga where we stayed at the Molinas Lario for 7 nights. This hotel is ideally located in the centre of Málago a few steps from one of the two large cathedrals in town. The reception staff is friendly although somewhat shy. I think its because their English is not perfect, but who cares. (Our Spanish is horrible.) The rooms are absolutely spotless. Each day the room was thoroughly cleaned and I mean thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom. As a nice touch, the cleaning staff even places a chocolate on your pillow each day. There are two computers located on the floor below reception that were available to guests 24/7. There's a printer and printer paper also available for your convenience. There is a "hop on, hop off" 15 meters to the left of the front door as you exit the hotel, a taxi stand directly across from the front door, and the superb Restaurant Cervantes is a mere 18-minute walk from the hotel. Do not miss this restaurant when in Málaga. As well, don't miss out on the wonderful morning coffee and churros at Casa Aranda. It's located a 5-minute walk to the west of the hotel. In addition, there is a magnificent beach located by the lighthouse that is a 20-minute walk through a botanical garden / park and then along a "boardwalk" of shops and restaurants. On the beach you can rent a chaise longue for a mere 8 euros a day. This includes the thatched umbrella to protect you from the sun. Lastly, there are 3 Asian girls in their late thirties / early forties who will give you a 20-minute massage for 5 euros. Experiment to find out which of the 3 girls is talented because 2 of them are less talented. My wife and I discovered who was the best on our first try and got an hour-long massage every day (20 euros each). This hotel really has everything. It's super clean in a super location. You won't be disappointed.
I would recommend paying extra for the breakfast buffet. The staff was very accommodating and the food choices were very good. A great way to fuel up for a long day of sightseeing. We were traveling with our Grand children and the pool was nice, but it really was more of a bar and not really set up for younger children
