I stayed for a week during the end of august for my 21st birthday with one other friend, although we did have people over for drinks and sleepovers at some points which is the advantage of an apartment over a hotel.

The location was good for us as we didn't mind walking places and everything was within walking distance that we wanted to visit including la rambla, arc de Triomphe, and la sagrada familia.

The cleaners don't speak any English and do a very average job with just replacing towels, wiping the floors, putting on the dishwasher and making the bed - although some days we didn't get fresh bedding even if it was dirty which I found strange.

The wifi is probably the worst I have experienced on my travels (even worse than most hostels!!!) and at one point I went to the 24 hour reception to query it and the gentleman started yelling at me saying it wasn't his fault, it was my two iPhones and iPad and there was nothing he could do. I found this appalling behaviour for a company and waited until his shift was over before asking someone else. We even paid for the 'faster' network which still did not work most of the time. I've now been sitting here for more than 3 days waiting to be able to connect :(

The apartments are literally a not even a 5 minute walk from the Barcelona bus station so this is perfect if you arriving on a bus like we did from south of Spain. Also, the street Napols is quite common so we didn't come along a taxi driver that didn't know where it was.

The apartment is really spacious but not so much the bathroom but the lounge room and living is big enough for everyone. We had two rooms, one with a king bed (actually two king singles put together) and the other bedroom has one single bed. The bathroom like I said was small but did have a great shower and bath with a large mirror. We did have an issue with the hot water, as there were two of us trying to shower, the second person kept getting cold water so if you are planning to stay with more than two people please be mindful to shower at different times of the day or stay dirty.

If you are a foodie then it is hard to find something close to find a good meal which got a little annoying at time having to go all the way to la ramblas to find a decent place for food although if you are into cooking in the apartment then you have two supermarkets right outside - one in front and one next door which was very convenient for us.

We stayed in Aparthotel Napols in late May and were generally satisfied with the our accommodation. It is located some what away from the central gothic area of the city (circa 20 minutes walk) which was where we spent most of our time. However, it was ideally located for trips to the Sagrada Familia, Casa Batillio and the many good restaurants around the area.

The room itself was very well furnished. We had a fully equipped kitchen, bathrooom, sitting room, balcony (with sink) and bedroom. The wifi was an extra €16 per week and while it was a little patchy it generally got the job done. The hotel is also located directly beside & opposite two good groceries so you will have plenty to keep you going.

However, there were one or two negatives as well. The main issue was that despite being advertised as boasting "sound proofed" rooms, we could all but hear the conversations of the people in the room next to ours! Also, the room cleaning seemed somewhat unprofessional - the room was only half cleaned and the do not disturb signs were frequently ignored!

Overall though, this was a good hotel. The value, location and ample living space outweighed the negatives. Do not stay here if you want to be in the centre of barcelona or only want to go clubbing. I would recommend here for a relaxing stay, close to good restaurants, parks and tourist attractions.

Room tip: Rooms with a balcony are great especially if you want to dry out towels or eat your breakfast in the sun!

It was in February 2014 but we still remember ten days spent in Barcelona. MOstly it's thanks to the very this Hotel!!!Just to list: 1. PLace !!!! (five minute to walk to metro staions, there are two, five minute to walk to central bus stop, fifteen minutes to walk to railway station France, 15 minutes to walk to Catalonia Square and twenty to Sagrada Familia, 10 min. to Citadel park) + calm; 2. Friendly English speaking stuff; 3. everything you need you have at the apartment and all the equipment works; 4. The street isn't crowded;5. There are many Nice Cafes in one step from the door and more 6. The market in the neighbourhood usually helps if you need something; 7. It's clean everywhere, but ask them clean the bathroom and the the bath specially (surprising but fact: it needs it).
The Hotel made its great input us to enjoy our stay in Barcelona.
