For pricey Capri, this hotel is a godsend! The rooms are spacious, clean and we were upgraded to a partial sea view double. Bonus!
The swimming pool and relaxing areas all look brand new and there is a stunning view across the sea from the pool loungers. Location is a little tucked away but very quiet and not an issue on a tiny island like Capri.
Breakfast was fine, the usual cold cakes, cheeses plus cooked eggs and nice cappuccinos.
The owner makes a good effort to speak English and recommended a restaurant within our price range and helped us with buses to Anacapri. He was friendly (if not overly cheery!)
We would definitely recommend Canasta to friends staying on Capri for a B&B that delivers everything you need, without costing and arm and a leg.
Please note this is a small family home so does not have all the facilities of a larger hotel (restaurant, bar, iron in the room etc)

This was another wonderful stay at the Canasta Hotel. The property is pretty and lovingly maintained with panoramic views of the sea. The simple but quality breakfast is a delight, cappuccinos consistently good and home-made marmalades addictive! But surely what makes this place special are the hosts, Pietro and Paola, and their staff. Their warm welcome and consistent attention throughout your stay makes the hotel more like a home away from home. After thanking Pietro repeatedly for his help with restaurant recommendations and reservations, transport, his answer summed it up well: "we love our guests!". That is a good enough reason to return when next in Capri! Congratulations for creating such a lovely abode, it shows that you love what you do and for that we are very lucky.

I had the best time at this hotel. It's perfectly situated, everyone that works there is lovely - they went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and taken care of. The pool is heaven, breakfast is delicious. All around a wonderful hotel in Paradise. We got a basic room which was great....i think if i was to come back, i would pay more for a room with a seaview. Either way, I highly recommend this hoteI!

I never put much emphasis on the hotel receptionists before, but at Canasta it turned out to be important. The first receptionist was not very accommodating, nd not very good at making us feel welcome. The second one went out of his way to help us in all sorts of ways that I had never expected, For instance he set a table for us in the main yard, when we brought home pizzas for an early dinner intended for the room or veranda. Overall, the hotel was fine. The rooms are clean and reasonably equipped (but ours was in the basement, which makes the veranda of very little se), and the pool is nice, and has a beautiful view to the sea.

I stayed 3 nights at Hotel Canasta with my boyfriend. The hotel was clean, comfortable and perfectly located! The owner was charming and extremely helpful - we left personal belongings in Naples and he very kindly arranged these to be dropped off at Capri.
The breakfast was good, and was served until late, which was perfect for a relaxing holiday!
I highly recommend this hotel.
