Great location- close to Siena, but far enough away to feel like you're in the countryside. We came without a car and the local bus stop was only a 10 minute walk away. The view from the dining room was beautiful and the grounds are well kept. Our room and the main common room are wonderfully decorated and felt very cozy.
However, I confirmed with the owner in advance that we would have a room with a view overlooking Siena. Instead we were given a view of a brick wall. Also, when we walked into the room there was barely any toilet paper left on the roll. The next day the toilet paper was once again not refilled. The breakfast was small (even by Italian standards), and the meat and cheese tray was never refilled. As someone else mentioned, we too felt the owner did not love what she did. She was not very friendly or thoughtful, but again this could have been the language barrier.
Another issue was entering the building. We traveled without a car and walked down a separate back road to get to the bus stop (a road not connected to the main one where everyone parked). The parking lot is located outside of the gates along with the keypad used to open the gates AND the front door.
