Lefkada is a wonderful place full with small coffe shops and bars in tiny streets. Allthough the hotel is very central is the worst choise in terms of acommodation. The rooms are very small and have old smelly. Only one guy is at the reception and not always. You should be lucky to meet him. The food was the worst. Discusting and nothing in comming with the greek food around the town. Very bad attitude from the lady who is working on the bar.

Room was very dirty, had to clean shower and toilet ourselves before using. Pillows old and lumpy. Hairs under beds, in drawers etc. mirrors broken, handles on cupboards broken. Two mini bars in room with not even a free bottle of water. Top floor very low ceilings claustrophobic. No air con remote in room, asked but non delivered, eventually given one but it was held together with tape and didn't work. Manager barely interested, none of the problems resolved and obviously no manager has been in the hotel rooms to check them for years. Unfortunately, this hotel is the reason why so many people don't return to Greece, lack of attention to detail and a couldn't care less attitude from the management. The only benefit is good location, but can be noisy from the loud bars on the square. To be fair the girl on reception tried her best. Booked a triple room which should have double bed and single bed, room was nothing like size and photo advertised on booking.com. Complete rip off, don't stay here.

Room tip: Not the top floor with low sealings.

We stayed a week in july at this place based on location and that no other hotel nearby replied to simple enquiries.
The upside is the location. Really easy access and right in the centre of Lefkas town, with great view of the harbour but still quiet enough to not be bothered by the crowds and sounds from the bars below (4th floor).
But even though it's not the most expensive hotel I did expect more.
The worst thing thing was the highly uncomfortable beds. Really hard, felt like sleeping on a ball due to the bend and lying right on the spirals, no mattress. Did not sleep well all week.

Breakfast was a buffé but there were more cookies and sweets than any nutricious to eat and the coffe was hot water with a scent of coffe. I would guess that american decaf is stronger.

The staff did hardly look at you over the counter when you passed and it was hard to get a "good morning".

The pictures of the room on their website (which made me book) has absolutely nothing in common with the one we got. I mean nothing.

So overall, location is great but neither that or price makes it up for their losses so I will not stay there again and I would not recommend it to others than maybe backpackers.

We decided to go to Lefkada for several days without a plan and reservations at hotels. When we reached the city we started walking around and choosing a hotel in the island’s capital. After reading the negative reviews about Nirikos, we decided that we will not stay there. However all the other hotels were either fully booked or severely overpriced. So we decided to try Nirikos and were pleasantly surprised. We took a room for one night but after that extended by one more night. The location is great – in the very beginning of the main pedestrian street with many shops, cafes and tavernas; very beautiful sea-views; the price is reasonable – at least it compares well with the other 2 hotels nearby; the room was comfortable and clean – equipped with good hairdryer, very quiet aircon, small fridge, TV… The breakfast was nothing special, not a very big choice, but this is not such an issue.
As arrived late and we had not booked a room in advance, we were given one of the last free rooms which was on the first floor and had no balcony. The upper floors offer rooms with better view and a balcony where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine and the beautiful view. There is no parking (like the other two hotels nearby - Lefkada and Ionion Star) but the parking on the street in front is for free and safe (as we were told by the locals). It might be a bit hard to find a place in the busy season or part of the day.
I would recommend this hotel for a couple of nights.

Room tip: higher floors have balconies
