A very nice one bedroom apartment on the fourth floor of a building overlooking the Split rugby pitch, it is a bit of a walk to get up the four flights of stairs but there is a decorated chair on one of the landings for a rest. Once in the apartment it is well worth the effort, as it is filled with every electrical aid you need for an enjoyable stay. And it is large and airy with partly bear stone walls; the furnishings are classic Croatian that blends in with the surroundings. There are three supermarkets within easy walking distance, but if you do not feel like cooking there are plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as cafe bars in abundance. While there I noticed that there will be a cheese and wine bar opening in the same building, the apartment sits behind the Split theatre that puts on some good shows including Opera, Ballet, classical music and plays. It is in a central position and within easy walk to all of Splits attractions, at the bottom of the road is one of the main bus stops for getting round other parts of the area. To use the bus service you can buy a ticket at a kiosk or pay extra on the bus a normal zone one ticket lasts 45 minutes so you can jump on and off buses in that time, there is also a taxi rank there as well. Up the top of the road at the left hand side of the building, is a large park called the Marjan which has some nice walks and even a small zoo? From the park there are some good views with good photo opportunities, it is a place I will put on my list to return as the apartment is clean to the point of being spotless.
