My husband and I, plus two friends stayed at Nakia January 28-February 9, 2015. We had a fantastic visit, right from the moment we arrived. Our hosts, Robin and Jim Kelly, were very welcoming, as are all of their staff. Our accommodations in the bures were comfortable, with lovely views out over the Somosomo Strait; right where we would dive every day. The staff were all incredibly gracious and caring; the freshly prepared food was out of this world. All vegetables and fruit are grown right on the premises, and much of the meat is locally sourced.
We dove most days with Taveauni Ocean Sports, which is run by the Kelly's daughter, Julie. We have never encountered a better run dive operation. All the dive guides were superb, and their pre-dive briefings excellent. The diving was superb, with amazing corals and an amazing abundance of fish and manta rays.
We took a couple of excursions to visit other places on the island, which were very enjoyable. All in all, a beautiful island, and a first rate resort. Highly reccommended!
