Cala De La Flora located in a very good area, you have some options of food around as well. I'm really impressed with the service, every little details from choosing the smell for your room, breakfast, dinner, service in perfect. The room is super modern and very romantic.
I'll definitely come back next time again.
Highly recommend!

Having stayed at multiple resorts and hotels in Thailand over the years, both with my wife as a younger couple and now as a family with 2 young children, I am rarely surprised by hotel accommodation, however I must say that the Casa De La Flora left me totally amazed.
We didn’t select this resort originally, but upgraded from its sister resort down the road for various reasons, and checked into the Casa De La Flora for a total of 6 nights. We were offered a Grand Duplex Pool Villa, which had 3 levels, the lower level being a living room, and outdoor plunge pool, the middle level housing an enormous bath, shower, sink etc. and the top floor having a lovely Super King sized bed with infinity doors that opened at the end of the bed giving unbroken views of the ocean. To wake in that bed each morning, and open the curtains and windows letting the sea breeze in was a real treat.
A lot of people have written about the fact that this resort does not resemble Thai tradition in any way, and whilst that is true, in that the resort is Uber-Modern as opposed to traditional Thai architecture, what is does have is the most hospitable and friendly team of Thai & Philippine staff I have come across, and for sure they exude Thai Charm, grace and hospitality. It was my wife’s birthday on the day we checked in, and my daughters 2nd birthday on the day before we left, and the staff absolutely spoiled both of them with cakes and celebrations. Not only that, whilst we ate the wonderful cooked to order breakfast every day, the staff would keep our children occupied, playing with them in the garden, whilst we sat and relaxed for breakfast. I have never taken 90 minutes over breakfast before, but we were so relaxed, this became a daily occurrence. If you want to feel special in only the way Thailand can make you feel, despite the architecture, this hotel achieves it, with service second to none.
I agree with some of the comments that the price of the food and wine is a little higher than outside of the hotel, however the mini bar was complimentary and stocked daily, there were various promotions available for cocktails in the evening, but if that is not enough, then the walk into Bang Niang was only 10 minutes and was always a pleasant.
The hotel was immaculately maintained, the gardens were almost manicured daily, and the resort had a very private feel about it. Yes, it was more expensive than normally our budget would permit, but for a really special treat, it was wonderful and money well spent.
Ultimately, the primary reason I will return to this resort with my family is the simple fact that we have never felt so relaxed and disconnected from modern life on holiday before, and my family was made to feel very welcome. All of the staff were amazing, I can’t possibly remember all of the names, however Vanessa, Anna, Ton and all the others made each day special. Also Aya & Non, the manager from the sister resort, ‘La Flora’ were amazing, helping us to move here, and also celebrate our daughter’s 2nd birthday.
Thank you to all of you for a wonderful holiday we will never forget.

Stayed in a beach-front villa with pool, just stunning interior and fantastic comfort. The bed is very comfortable, the bathtub is huge, the shower is great and everything in general is very nicely stylish & modern. The small private pool is an excellent extra to enjoy the setting in.The beach heavily depends on tide, and the water isn't very calm - but this is no drawback as the sunbeds above the beach are very comfortable. The food at the restaurant doesn't seem to be at the high standard at which the rest of the resort is, but it's still very tasty - never had a bad meal.
The aircon in the room was a bit noisy and hard to adjust to a comfortable level overnight.
Exceptional service, all staff is very helpful and friendly.
Not far from nearby restaurants and shopping area for tourists.

Room tip: Beach-front Villa with Pool! great privacy and absolutely beautiful

We stayed here for a 4 night stop over on our way from Wales to Australia. We arrived in the morning and were greeted with a cold hand towel and a whole coconut drink. We settled into our lovely beach front room with private plunge pool. I think all rooms have them. We had pre booked massages as we knew we would be jet lagged. Best decision. The staff were friendly and the food was great. Just be aware that you can't swim at the beach right where the hotel is, but a 10 minute walk away there is safer access to the beach.

Room tip: We had beach front but I would think they're all great.

Modern design but quite a way in with lovely view of the sea minus a beach. It was perfect for some peace and quiet. I do love the duplex pool suite however the grand duplex would have had a better view but was full booked. Very spacious hall downstairs with well stocked minibar that has a capsule coffee maker, everything is complimentary and replenished daily. You wont be short of entertainment even if you choose to stay within the confines of your room. Movies, music, billing, internet are all at the tips of your finger accessible from both interactive TVs, one in the bedroom and the other in the hall. Touch light control is conveniently placed beside bed as well as two other locations allowing the choice of DND sign. Problems were swiftly addressed and rectified within 5mins with just a call to the front desk. Loved the many pillows and comfortable bedding, was hard getting out of bed. A bag is provided to carry your beach stuff, beach towels provided, two huge umbrellas and sufficient hangers! It's the first time there were enough hangers in a hotel wardrobe without me requesting for more. It may seem a small thing but the attention to detail makes a huge difference to me.

Food at La Aranya was decent taste wise but pricy. I also mentioned to the staff about not wanting the food to be too spicy however it came even spicier than I would have expected for locals; I'm half Thai. To be fair, they did inquire about my food halfway and offered to change it but I never liked sending food back into the kitchen unless absolutely necessary. After my meal the staff brought me a side of watermelon to ease the burn. It was so spicy I was sweating and literally had tears. Breakfast spread was good and worth getting out of bed for. I chose to explore the many food choices along the outer road subsequently which were equally good.

A taxi out to 7-11 from the hotel costs 100B, I chose to walk back after meals and shopping from that area. There is a local food street market every Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays just a few paces from the 7-11. The whole stretch of street heading back to the hotel is lined with food, massage, dive shops etc and worth a stroll. The total distance is about 1.4km back to the hotel and is a nice walk back in the evenings but would recommend using the umbrella provided in the room for afternoons.

The spa has a very dedicated masseuse that is apt at catering to special instructions/requirements. Enjoyed the 1.5hrs of it. There was also a complimentary thai kick boxing session during one of the days which I joined and had a blast sweating it out and learning the basics. The air conditioning in the gym wasn't working properly and it did get stuffy and warm. All staffs were very pleasant, polite and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Room tip: The grand duplex has the best of space, amenities and view. The beachfront ones lacked privacy.
