The hotel is a great location and a very good overall experience. I reserved the larger "City View Club" suite but they "upgraded" me to a smaller suite with a view of the towers. I denied the upgrade but the room type that I booked was "no longer available." I did not care for the smaller suite with a view which cost more money. I was there for the social experience and we had quite a few people meeting in my room. Due to room downgrade, the manager set us up with a VIP section in the very nice Pool Bar near the top of the hotel.

Room tip: Make sure to put a remark for no upgrades if you prefer the larger suite and not the view.

Very impressed spent 2 nights here en route to Cambodia. Room excellent, Bathroom well appointed with excellent toiletries. Wow what a view from the rooftop pool and bar area, great looking out at the Petronas Towers whilst sitting in the Hot tub or Jacuzzi. Great service at breakfast just so much choice and nothing was too much trouble. Local restaurants in Mall opposite were good value. Were leaving early in the morning so requested room service for breakfast we had a large table arrive with a wonderful choice of fruits, croissants, several types of jam. it was a feast. If ever going that way again would not hesitate to stay at the Traders.

From my previous reading of this hotel's reviews, my expectations were high. From the moment we arrived, this hotel lived up to my expectations. Our room was well appointed and decorated. The bathroom was spacious with huge separate shower and quality toiletries.Front hotel desk was positively helpful when l needed to contact my appointment. The buffet breakfast was probably the best l have ever had in asia and was a feast for the eyes.We didn't know where to start in the 4 nights we stayed here. Finally, the location was great near a park for running and a short, safe and covered walk to the Pavilion or KLCC.Finally, extremely comfortable beds with the option of freshly changed sheets each day.

Got a good deal for a weekend stay at Trader's Hotel from Agoda, (USD 116/night).
The hotel is very conveniently located at walking distance from the Petronas Towers & the KLCC Mall, and a short cab ride away from some of the key sights in KL (Merdeka Square, Chinatown, Little India, Central Mkt, Negara Mosque etc). The cab rank outside the hotel is very well managed and makes it very convenient to get around.
Service levels across the hotel are really good with staff eagerly approaching you to check if they can assist in any way.
The food is also really good, though only ate at Gobo Chit Chat and didn't get a chance to try Gobo Upstairs.
Worth a stay if you'd like to be in a central location in KL and prefer a modern hotel.
Only downside was when I asked for a late checkout (4 hrs after regular check-out), the front desk said they'd have to charge me extra half room rate, despite a very late check-in (10hrs after regular check-in), but I suppose that's their policy. Wouldn't hurt to be flexible though.

I stayed in Traders hotel room, twin tower view last year! .. when I entered the room for the first time at night and saw the lights of Twin towers I got fascinated. the view was fantastic from the 23 floor!!! ... Traders hotel is 5 star hotel in design and services!! ... prices are reasonable too.
breakfast is included the room price. it has a lot of varities-8 choices- (English, japanese, Arabian food...etc). there are free deserts and drinks you can enjoy for free from 5-7 with formal wears in a higher floor while enjoying the view of the city and Twin Towers!! ... transportation is so easy even by taxi or bus since the station is very near!! . there are very transfer bus shuttle from the hotel to Syria mall and Twin towers building,, although you don't have to use because you will like to enjoy moving in the garden that seperates between the two destinations!! ... nearby, the life acquarium is exist. and around (by walking 10 minutes) (3 min driving) you will be in the main shopping street. hospitality was really amazing and reception guys were helpful. I kept my luggage saved in the reception till 5pm and went for shopping till I left to the airport!!! ...
as a sum, I liked food, service , comfort, cleanliness and location as well. even the received welcomed & goodbye letter received by the public relations representative!!!!
If you have kids, enjoy the entrance for free to the front public garden! (((see the attached pic))))
The hotel is luxury by all means!! I liked it.

Room tip: Rooms in upper floors, Twin Towers view is amazing!
