I stayed in hotel Can for a week with two mates on a 1830's holiday. The room was standard as expected but no problems at all, it was clean and tidy, for the price i payed it was perfect.
Your not aloud to take any outside food or drink into the hotel, they are strict on this and asked to search our bags several times. The prices for food and drink in the hotel are ridiculous, a bottle of Fanta was 10 lira and you could get the same from the shop 10meters away for 3 lira! Also the pizza's are standard cheap out the box ones, search around and you'll find really nice food in Gumbet.... Look out for the 2 lira kebab shop!
I was disappointed how strict the hotel was, we were often told to keep the noise down and go to our rooms at 11:30pm... being an 1830's hotel how can they not expect this.
Also the one thing that you need to know is that if you want to bring anyone back to your room you have to pay 50lira on a good day!! This really pissed me off.
Overall it was good but no way suitable for an 1830s holiday.. i really dont rate the reps either, they were hardly around and always had a stressy face on (Yasmin). I wouldnt go back. Oh and don't spill anything on the bedsheets, they'll try to charge you 60 lira, my mate got shaving blue shaving gel on his sheet, we refused to pay and washed it out in our sink, so i dont know if they even attempt to wash the sheets.
