Not sure where to begin. Staff was friendly, helpful, really made us like at home. Our room, UNBELIEVABLE! huge room with great amenities, and the most unbelievable view, right over the ocean. We would wake up and go to sleep to the sounds of the crashing waves at night. The food and service as also just amazing. This hotel is an absolute must if you are in the area. Truly an amazing hotel that we dream of returning to one day.

We stayed at the room on the very end, and there was utter and complete privacy. Though every room would have a view off the cliffs to the churning ocean below, the unit on the end doesn't overlook any other rooms.

From checking into the hotel, to the special dinner at night, to walking down the cliffs to the water, to just sitting on the bed at night hearing the crashing of the waves at night.... it was as perfect as an ocean view you can get with the action of the waves, etc. to look out onto. Its just amazing.

Had a lovely stay in this unique hotel right by the sea. Two female travellers and found it welcoming and hospitable. Unfortunately no spa appointments available while we were here but great views from every part of the hotel.
After a hectic week of safari it was lovely just to rest here and listen to the ocean.

Although difficult to find and it was starting to get dark, the property is at the end of Robberg Road and not at the beginning as was indicated in the address. Keep going until you see the sign just before the airport.

Room tip: Ask for a sea view, and a large room if possible.

This was one special find. What an amazing location above a cliff and the rooms were magnificent. Breakfast felt like we were in a beautiful home. We enjoyed facials in the spa and walked down to the private beach. A two night stay is a must as you wont want to leave after one night. Thank you to all the staff there as they were brilliant.

We stayed for one night before a week at Beacon Island. Luckily the highly attentive GM of this small upscale hotel upgraded our room to a larger one with great sea views. The location is certainly stunning and all the staff make an effort to make you feel special. In terms of managing expectations - some features are a little tired for a 5 star hotel, such as the old shower door, and the dinner was not quite up to 5 star standard (nor cheap). But breakfast was superb and the overall experience excellent.
