First, the parking was a nightmare. You gotta somehow park where you won't get towed, go to the hotel and ask for the tag, drive 7+ circles up to Floor G across the street and then return the tag to the hotel. When you need to fetch the car the same repeats plus you have to wait for the tag when someone else is parking. All this ridiculous amount of effort to park will also cost you R70 a night. And then walk across the street in the rain back to the hotel.
Second, the rooms and the hotel itself is smelly. My room smells like someone had smoked and vomited inside and when I checked in, the windows were even open. The lobby and the hallway reeked of frying oil smells in dinner time and somehow leaked into the room too.
The elevator is another wonder at this hotel. It jitters and sounds like you will never make it to the ground floor.
My room's dressing table chair was severely stained, in fact you could see more stain spots than clean areas of the cushion which was horrid. When I took off my shoes, just a brief walk from the bed to the bathroom made my feet black. I was horrified and decided to wear my shoes around the room.
The breakfast, however, was really good. The staff was also friendly and helpful.
