Stayed at the Town House Motel 2 nights in late June while visiting the Redwoods. Motel was just as described by other travelers. Room and Motel were Clean easy to find and near Old Town Eureka. The owner was very helpful and made good suggestions for sight seeing. He was also very helpful during our late night arrival. The parking under hotel was nice as well. I have no complaints and my wife and I were very pleased with the room, location, service and the price. We would stay there again if ever blessed to visit northern California another time.
NOTE; Chalet House of Omelettes for breakfast is close and good food. Patrick's Point, Lady Bird Grove, Fern Canyon and Redwood National Park make a fun and full day from Eureka.

Room tip: Use trip advisor and travelers suggestions.

At first I was a little worried about our rooms being on the busy street and note having ac but at night the traffic noise all but stopped and the temp chilled. The owner was kind enough to have us park our bikes were he could keep an eye on them in the covered garage. I would stay here again. PS 3 blocks from LOST COAST BREWING.

Room tip: If your a light sleeper consider asking for a room off the Main Street.

Thank you DINKS33 for your review. The beauty of the North Coast is that air conditioning is not needed as we have the natural ocean breeze to keep us cool. As you noted, the road noise is practically non existent with our dual-paned windows and the traffic disappearing in the evening hours. We look forward to hosting you (and your bikes) again soon!

Traveling through Eureka we stayed at the Town House Motel . The room was very clean and comfortable. My wife left her pajamas in the room. When we returned a week later, the pajamas were neatly folded on the pillow. This is the difference between a "family run" and a chain motel. Thoroughly recommended.

The service is incredible, the room was super nice. My friends and I got a suite for the price of a regular 2-quins room simply because we originally wanted that one and all they had was that one suite left. The gentleman at the front desk is friendly and helpful, gave us some tips on the exploring the Red Woods. When we asked for the iron, he actually brought the iron and the ironing desk himself right to the our room door. The rooms themselves are cozy and clean. It's sort of like you are visiting your grandma or some sort. Very pleasant! The parking lot is under the roof which is also a plus. Lets just put it this way, if I am ever in Eureka again, this is the place I'm staying. Would highly recommend it.

It is fun to stay in a old well restored hotels especially when you see the quality associated with pride of ownership. There was a day in the U.S. when the norm was a small family run business with friendly high quality employees. I am happy to see this return in this type of hotel. I pass on the corporate chain hotels to experience this quality again. The neighborhood is not the best but the quality far makes up for that. I recommend The Town House Motel without hesitation.

Room tip: Walking distance to a good pub.

Your words exemplify one of our most important goals capttml. Bringing back the classic U.S. motel experience with high quality employees in our small family run business, is actually what we have been doing all along since the 1970's! Although some individuals may not appreciate old world architecture, we are glad that our "well restored hotel" appealed to you.

We look forward to hosting you again at THM, your exclusive bridge to historic old town.
