I am a hotel snob, there I said it. My husband and I were looking for a room to book 2 days before attending a concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater I came across this hotel. I normally wouldn't stay at a Best Western and was extremely skeptical given its star rating, but after reading several trip advisor reviews, I decided that for the price and location it would work for one night.
Check in was quick and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful by providing us with information for the taxi cab companies in the area so we wouldn't have to drive to/from the concert. Cab ride was approximately $15 each way. We were assigned room 305, it was very clean and spacious. I often travel with my own food/snacks and the room comes with a refrigerator. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast in the morning and the egg station was delicious. They offer you eggs with hash browns, turkey bacon or pork sausage. There was also fresh fruit, yogurt, make your own waffle station, toast, coffee, juice, etc. Plenty of food to satisfy everyone.
A lot of reviews mentioned this hotel was in a bad neighborhood, but I disagree. It was industrial with several other hotels in the area but never felt that safety was a concern. Great value for an overnight, need somewhere to rest my head trip.More
