I love Point Mugu State Park, lots of nature and a beautiful little beach. Great for relaxing. We visited El Capitan (Santa Barbara) and Las Virgenes (Malibu) in the past years, but this place is so much better!! We got spot 10 which was partially isolated from the other campers, next to the trails and full of trees, rabbits, squirrels and quails...super cute!! This spot was kind of tight, but we could fit our 8 people tent in there, the spots also came with a picnic table and a fire pit with a removable grill. There were lots of poison ivy too, so be careful. I have a 2 year old and a 5 year old and everything was fine, we told them not to touch it and they get it so that wasn't a problem for us. Trails are beautiful, full of animal wildlife and stunning views. if you want to go to the beach you can go walking only if you don't carry much stuff with you (otherwise use your car, it's right across the street), its a small beach, in some parts rocky but clean and really nice with picnic tables and shades. We went on the second week of September, the weather was warm but cloudy the first day, but after that we have two beautiful sunny days a little windy. My advise is don't forget anything because there is NOTHING 15 miles around but stunning views.
