Other than it is right across the street from The Ogden and a few blocks from the other Colfax venues, this was not what we were looking for. The front desk staff was very polite, but poorly trained. Safety is an issue. My husband and I felt fairly uncomfortable. I would have felt safer with hotel room doors on the inside. All rooms have outside doors only. The room it self was of poor quality; beds, blankets, sheets, etc. For the price I was disappointed. Parking is tight, but manageable.
This hotel was easy to reach with public transportation from the airport. Walking distance to museum, 16th Street Mall, and bicycle rentals.
The hotel itself was lacking except it was clean. A/C worked, but was very loud. No fan in bathroom, so room very steamy after showers. Internet almost non-existent on 5th floor, so we had to relocate to another room (1st floor best for this).
The people were very nice and breakfast was as you would expect at such a hotel.
Rooms opened onto a dark parking lot that made me feel a bit vulnerable, so try to stay closest to lobby.
Phone did not work, so could not get wake-up call. Walked to front desk to ask for wake-up call, and no one there (supposed to be staffed 24/7).
Radio did not work, so could not set alarm (bring your own!)
Great food across the street (Hukka bar).
I would stay here again. It was the least expensive place close to town, but I would have expected a bit more for the price. If you move closer to town, rooms start to be $200 and up.
Staff less than friendly. Hotel was extremely noisy all night (the karaoke at the bar next door didn't help). Parking is next to impossible.
