We've stayed here before, maybe 10 years ago and thought it was great. It is sad to see how it has been neglected. It is dirty, the carpet well past the point it should be replaced. I'm a bit nervous about the bed because the mattress looks old and saggy. Our mountain view room has a decent view of the resort across the highway, but we hear every car go by on the highway. All this and a crazy high price. So sad.

We just stayed her the last weekend in June. It was off season, but I thought the price though Booking.com was a little pricey for what we got. I would have given it a 3, but, despite the negative reviews, we LOVED the restaurant and microbrewery on site. (I will review this on another post.)Our room had a few updates, but was mainly tired and dull. It did have a small refrigerator and microwave which was a nice touch. We had a nice view from our floor to ceiling windows of the ski hill. I was surprised the gondolas and lifts were running this time of year. We did not try the pool, so cannot comment on that. They offered coffee, a few bruised oranges and a couple pastries in the morning in the lobby. It was a surprise because I knew the room did not come with breakfast. We didn't take any of the food, but I have to say the coffee was the worst I have ever had! Luckily there was a McDonald's down the street. Would I stay here again? Only if I got a better price...maybe.

Room tip: Try to get a mountain view room, otherwise you will be looking at a parking lot and dumpsters.

I read other reviews on other sites plus this one, some not so good. But they had a good deal so we booked. It was mud season for anyone who doesn't know that's the time between end of ski season to summer. I know we didn't know so a little FYI. Are room was awesome great view of the ski slopes, giant window. Place was clean and comfortable. We stayed in a mountain suite, no complaints at all. The staff was very friendly and nice. They were doing some renovation on sections of the lodge. The bar is ok, unless you have had to many go to town the ditch is pretty cool. Stay away from the strip and tail real fatty thin steaks, my husband said his fish was overlooked. But the bar was pretty cool lots of locals. Def check out sulphur hot springs if it's not to smokn hot out.

Right across from ski area provides a nice view. Staff was all very nice and helpful with any questions or needs. Bed in room was very comfortable. Room was clean. Property is older, but not rundown. Indoor pool and hot tubs. The restaurant is very good. Service and food were both wonderful and they brew their own beer if you are interested. Overall a very good experience. Would recommend to anyone going to Winter park.

Wonderful and relaxing experience. The hotel has amazing views and is.a short drive from restaurants and shops. The rooms could do with updating, yes, but they were very reasonably priced, clean, and large. We had mountain view rooms and you could see the trains winding down the mountain to Winter Park. Really pretty. The bar is a great spot to unwind--friendly bartender and good brews--try the local beer! Best of all, the hotel has an outstanding staff, Front office manager Nancy was so helpful with my reservations--she made the whole trip possible. Jody at the front desk was fantastic--always cheerful and helpful. Thank you! This is definitely worth a return visit.

Room tip: Mountain view rooms--watch the trains come down the mountain!
