We booked this property with Interval Timeshares. We booked a two-bedroom villa. We called the property several weeks prior to our arrival requesting a newly renovated unit, on a high floor, with a good view. Our requesting paid off as we recieved a spetacular unit #5606. A unit on the top floor, with a superb view of Grande Vista's lake. The unit was very modern, clean, and newly renovated with granite counter tops, nice tvs and great beds. There were two balconies, one screened in and the other was not. The master bedroom had a shower, double sinks, and huge jetted tub. The other bedroom had two queen beds, and a nice sized bath.
Parking was free, and nice. The golf course looked nice and the resort features tons of things to do, from the kids center to renting paddle boats. There are four pools, and the one closest to the main building we liked best.
The absolute best thing was the LOCATION. You have all of the attractions and dining of International Drive, but you seem like you are miles from it. What I mean is the hotel is right off of the I-Drive, but it is tucked away into the trees about a 1/2 mile from the main road. It was terrific! Seconds to the SeaWorld parks, Disney is right around the corner, and Universal is not far.

When we checked in, they offered us a meeting with a Timeshare saleman, for a 90 minute presentation, tour of property, and breakfast. Plus you get a $100 gift card to either Disney or Marriott. The timeshare presentation lasted three hours, and we decided it was not for us at that present day, maybe in the future. BUT IF YOU ARE INTO TRAVEL, WE RECOMMEND YOU GO TO THE PRESENTATION!! Ask for the salesman named GERMAN FUENTES! HE WAS TERRIFIC AND NICE, NOT TO MENTION HE PASSION. Great guy.

DID NOT WANNA LEAVE!!! Ask me if you have questions!

We stayed at the Marriott Grande Vista through the Interval International timeshare. We were originally booked to stay at a resort on the gulf coast, which was a DUMP, so we were lucky to get into the Marriott. Although our trip was to check out the beaches on the gulf coast, we had a great time at the Marriott. The pools are very nice and we never had a problem finding a chair. The pool drinks at Copa Loca are great too. A little pricey, but worth it. Try the strawberry daqueri/pina coloda mixed one. The rooms were very nice. We had an efficiency and had plenty of room for my husband and I. It had a king sized bed as well as a pull out couch, a nice kitchen area, and a screened in patio. Our villa overlooked the golf course. We did go to the timeshare presentation and altough we did not purchase, it was good information plus we received a $100 Marriott gift card which we used to purchase waterpark tickets and pool drinks. The staff was very accommodating. We ordered fresh towels 2 of the days we were there and they arrived promptly. The consierge was also very helpful when we had questions. We felt at ease with the gated security 24 hours a day and the loss prevention staff that roamed the grounds often. My only complaint is that the walls are thin and we had neighbors that woke up earlier than us so it made it a little hard to sleep in. This would be a great resort for families since it is near all the Disney parks and the resort has many daily activities for the little ones.

We went as a timeshare preview throught the Marriot Rewards club, which I purchased a year and a half ago. I didn't really want to go, but was glad I did. We had a one bedroom suite/condo in Bldg 100, overlooking the Faldo Golf Institute. Room was fabulous, clean, well-appointed, spacious for us and our teenage son (slept on sofa pull-out). The full kitchen was great as was the washer/dryer in our suite. Large whirlpool tub in master bedroom. Spacious bathroom. We cooked or ate off campus. Did have cocktails at the Lighthouse bar, and the were good, Theresa the bartender was great. The pool was very nice. The time share pitch went a little longer than promised (almost 2 hours) but was very low pressure. I would stay there again but don't plan on returning to Orlando ever again (third time there, too much traffic...etc)

Since we're not timeshare owner's, daily housekeeping was included (fresh towels...etc). Coffee and filters, as well as dishwasher detergent, dishsoap & sponge, papertowels, and a small box of laundry detergent were included!

Wireless internet worked well. Cable TV offers many channels, plus the room had a DVD player.

The resort was perfect. We were overlooking the pool and except for Karaoke night when the singing was awful, it was a perfect location. Everything was clean, the staff friendly and very helpful. We did not eat at any of the restaurants on the site, but cooked in the condo most nights. Our grandson didn't want to leave when the week was over.

This resort is gorgeous!! My now hubby and I stayed here for our honeymoon for a week. He called and told the resort that it was our honeymoon and they never once bothered us about timeshare information. Check in was a breeze, we got there around 12 pm not expecting to get a room right away but it never hurts to check. The lady working the front desk got us a one bedroom villa in building 100. The villa was great!! Clean, well appointed furniture, and everything we needed was provided in the kitchen. Our balcony overlooked part of the driving range. The bed was very comfortable which was all I cared about. On our last day we did some laundry and housekeeping brought us extra detergent when we called for more.

We didn't visit any of the pool areas but did visit the Marketplace. Not exactly what I expected but if we had needed anything it was provided. I liked the location of the resort which is nicely situated between Disney and Universal and right down the street from Sea World.

I can't say enough great things about this place. We would definately stay here again.
