The location near so many great waters and trails is fantastic. It is like a trip into an earlier time, yet it is actually quite convenient to reach any time of the year. The cabins are rustic, quite cozy and near the lakes, stream, and town. Fishing for the salmon during the fall run was great but I have done a guided Ice fishing and snowmobile excursion in January too and that was just simply fantastic!

Canal Side Cabins are cabins the way Mainers like their cabins to be---unpretentious, clean, and comfortable. While Grand Lake Stream is best known for its superior fishing, vacationers will find plenty to do in all seasons---snowmobiling, ATV riding, boating, nature photography, and swimming. The cabins are ideally situated to enjoy all these activities. There is a public beach about a three minute walk away, and there is a well stocked general store right down the road. The cabins are set up for housekeeping, and everything you need is supplied. The beds are comfortable, and everything is spotlessly clean, including the bathrooms. You can rent a kayak, canoe, or motor boat, and full guiding services are also available. John and Mary, the owners, are super nice people, and the pride and hard work they put into running their cabins is obvious everywhere on the property. We had a great time here, and can't wait to return to these cozy and homey cabins in Grand Lake Stream.
