We stayed at the Inn at the end of a seven day cruise. It was the perfect way to end our vacation. Chris accommodated our 5 couple group with a smile. The rooms were beautiful and all had a gorgeous view of the ocean. The continental breakfast was way more than we expected. My only regret is that we only were able to stay one night! Hope to go back for a girls week as it is a great place to shop!

Room tip: The higher you go, the better the view but you wont want to spend that much time in your room as the deck is fantastic!

Your group was a delight to host. We are so happy you extended your cruise vacation by coming up to Rockport for the night.

I love your room tip. It is true, the higher you go in the house, the bigger the ocean view.

We hope you come back if you are in the area again!

I recommend the Seafarer Inn because of it's beautiful location, hospitality of the innkeepers, and the charm of the Inn itself, which has been renovated. We stayed in the 2nd floor suite with two rooms connected by a bathroom which suited us quite well but could have accomodated more than 2 people. We used the 2nd room as a sitting room which was wonderful with a beautiful ocean view. Having a fireplace that can be plugged in for heat or ambiance was a welcome feature since the evenings are getting cooler. A continental breakfast during the week was great for us since it provided us with more than what we normally eat. On the weekend, eating a hot breakfast and talking with other guests was an added bonus.

Since we we were there at the end of September, the nightlife in Rockport itself was more limited than during the summer and many of the restaurants close early. I especially loved hiking along side the ocean and hope to bring friends or family here in the upcoming year. The willingness of the local people to help with directions and several people went out of their way to make our stay a memorable experience.

Room tip: having a room with a ocean view was well worth the money!

Thank you for the great review, we are so happy you enjoyed your first visit to Rockport!

You stayed in the Front and Back Beach suite. We love the suite for it's flexibility. It can be a nice two room suite for a couple, as it was for you, or an office suite for a writer or business person on the road, or a two bedroom unit for friends or a small family. The sofa pulls out to a full size bed and the second room has a desk looking out the window to the bay.

We hope you come back and stay with us next time you visit Cape Ann.

Clean and comfortable room on first floor...the "Old Garden Beach Room". The only problem were the leather chairs, which I found too heavy, when one wants to reposition them. A nice continental breakfast is available
every morning which can be enjoyed inside or outside on a porch. One can relax by a miniature fish pond and
enjoy listening to the sound of a small cascade. A very scenic ocean view. The innkeeper, Chris, is very accommodating and eager to help out.

Thank you for the great review! We are happy you enjoyed your stay. I love the picture of the koi pond that you posted! The yellow fish in the foreground is named Jade, was born in our pond and is 10 years old. We ook forward to seeing you again soon when you visit "your home by the sea."

The Seafarer Inn is a charming and lovely inn, in Rockport, Massachusetts. The inn has a nice view of the ocean (across the street and down a short slope). There is a well-landscaped side yard with Adirondack chairs by a koi pond. The dining area has both indoor and outdoor seating, looking towards the sea. Our hosts were gracious and helpful, ready make recommendations for dining options or activities. Breakfast was served buffet style, and included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, coffeecake, yogurt, fruit, cereal & milk, plus the usual coffee and tea options. We did have difficulty with the inn's wi-fi, losing the signal or having slow download times. And driving in the area is somewhat challenging at night - every turn and twist of the road looks the same! We managed to get a bit lost on both evenings as we returned to the inn after dinner. But the gentle, muted sounds of the ocean lulled us to sleep.

Thank you for the great review! We loved meeting you and hope you can visit again soon. We do provide free wifi and have added a booster to make it more reliable. We are glad you enjoyed the koi pond and the soothing sounds of the waves right outside your window.

This was by far our favourite hotel/B&B of our 10 day trip to New England. The location is perfect with fabulous views it is idyllic. The owners Chris and Beth were very welcoming and we were quickly made to feel at home. We stayed in the garden room which was very charming and comfortable. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk along a cliff path to reach Rockport which is a beautiful small town. The breakfast was superb and very relaxing with the sea views. I cannot recommend this highly enough and would love to return in the future.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We enjoyed meeting you, too! The Old Garden Beach Room is on the first floor and is spacious and we are pleased you found it charming. It is (as you can see) named after Old Garden Beach and the Old Garden path along the cliff toward downtown Rockport, one of our favorite walks, and one we do recommend it to our guests. We hope you get a chance to return someday!
