Our second stay at Anteliz was even better than the first. It didn't seem like a hotel; we were made to feel like guests and friends of the family.
To enjoy Santorini's spectacular scenery you need to overlook the caldera and there are few better places for this than Anteliz; the views are wonderful and the location is just far enough away from Fira city centre to avoid the crowds but near enough for access to the shops and good tavernas.
Our junior suite was nicely furnished and very comfortable and breakfast served on our terrace was extremely good.

A very nice place with stunning views to spend a few days on this beautiful island. Access is by footpath only, the nearest car access is some 150m away. Our room was large although with windows/door directly on the busy footpath but noise was not a problem. Internet (free) wi-fi didn't work in the room but only on the terrace and on the upper rooms. Terrace and pool are great with amazing views. Anteliz doesn't have a restaurant or dining room, breakfast is served on the terrace alternating Continental and Greek style. For lunch/dinner you go out to one of the many nice restaurants just steps away. Staff is very friendly and will try to accomodate you as best they can, including booking for tours etc. We recommend booking transfers from airport/harbour together with your flights or ferry, especially if you have a bit of luggage. A word of caution: Santorini walking is up and down on crowded cobbled narrow paths so bring walking shoes and be carefully not to slip or tumble. It is more for the extraordinary views and architecture, not for beaches. The much touted cruise around the caldera is fun but not much else. We were very lucky with the warm and sunny weather in late September. If Santorini is on your list, be aware that this is a very crowded place during the tourist season, with 2-3 large cruise ships every day disgorging their passengers and adding to the crowds.

We stayed at the Anteliz Suites for 8 nights. The overall experience was excellent. The hotel is in an amazing position overlooking the bay of Fira, not far from local restaurants and shops. All amenities of Fira are just 10 mins walk away (although it is steep and sometimes slippy pathway). There are many cruise ships coming into Fira Port daily and most people passing the Hotel stop to admire the hotel - its Pool and garden area. This is testament to how well the hotel is kept. Our room was very nice and clean albeit not luxurious as described by some. The bathroom was perhaps the most disappointing aspect - which was just okay. We took up offers of assistance from the hotel and the car hire, catamaran trip and shuttle to the airport all worked smoothly. The breakfast was very nice - there are two alternating options provided - which are served whenever you want them until 11am. The staff are always very helpful, friendly and very welcoming. One potential issue is that there are limited sun loungers but most guests are in/out of the hotel during the day. The beaches of Perissa are excellent and accessible by car or by bus - but if you want to sunbathe and sit by a beach staying near Perissa might be the better option.

Upon coming to santorini, you hope you have the most magificent hotel, and this hotel met my expectations and the personality then exceeded them. This hotel has 8 rooms with a max occupancy of 24 so it is like a small community. The hotel owners are extremely helpful and accommodating, always on hand and ready to serve you homeade wine, iced coffee, water at your request. Waking up and being served an amazing Greek breakfast overlooking the Caldera was an experience i will never forget.
The view of the sunset from the deck is breathtaking. The space allows you to grab a bottle of wine and converse with theo ther travelers in a make your own happy hour. The space allows for great socialization and meeting others if you wish, or can be reclusive if you wish. Amazing people, views, large room with a lot of personality. I will be back. Thank you Tony - Cassie and I miss you already!

We stayed here in August for 4 nights. Do your research before you go and make sure you know how you are getting to the hotel. We didn’t and it was a miserable trek. We took the public bus from the port and got off at Fira and from there figured we could walk to the hotel. We stopped and asked 4 different people – the tourist information office included – and no one could give us proper directions. Finally, after calling the hotel twice, they sent a shuttle for us since we were so close by and the bellboy met the car and took our luggage (the car could only go so far). But, once we were there, the place is absolutely beautiful and the view is stunning. The staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable. We had one of the upper suites with our own patio. They didn’t really have set hours for breakfast, whenever you wake up, they set it up on our patio, which was wonderful. We made it a point to be up by 10:45 at the latest because once the sun hit our patio at 11:30, it was to hot. The selection could have been better, they alternated two meals, but overall it was ok. It was so nice to wake up each morning and see which cruise ships were docked that day. The Jacuzzi tub was great, though every time I had the hot water running, I would get an electrical shock if I touched the shower hose so I started leaving the showerhead hanging outside the tub so the hose didn’t sit in the water. Maybe there’s a short somewhere? Kind of freaked me out. Sunsets here are beautiful and this resort is popular, all day long people walk by and would stop to take photos of the place. The pool is very nice. The deck gets sun almost all day long so no shortage of tanning time. There are tables and umbrellas anytime you want to get out of the sun but didn’t want to go inside. There are only 5 lounge chairs though. Was never much of an issue but if most suites want to hang out by the pool on the same day you do, you might have to fight for a chair. The bed was very comfortable and had the most wonderful duvet. We never had any issues with noise from other rooms or outside. We would sit on our patio and watch the sunset, and the staff would even make us a frappe if we requested at no charge. We arranged for the shuttle to take us back to the port on check out, no way were we going through that again. But, they tried to charge us for the transfer from the port on the way in. We refused to pay since it wasn’t a complete transfer. I would recommend this place to others and I would stay here again, as long as the transportation to and from the hotel was pre-arranged.
