Only a review of the bar/restaurant, where we had a late lunch recently. A large, tasty burger and plate of chips went down well with a few pints of local ale. Ideal end to a fabulous day out. Particularly appreciate the all-day service.

I love the Patterdale Hotel. Excellent value for money and the staff are so helpful and professional. Plus we won the Tuesday night quiz so everyone in the family was happy. The meals were superb and the position of the hotel is perfect for beautiful walks.

Stayed here for 2 nights in August with my friend, we picked the Lakes as a "mid point" between our two locations and would definitely return to the Patterdale Hotel again.

We didn't arrive until after 9pm but when it had become obvious to the hotel that we perhaps weren't going to arrive in time for a meal (they stop serving at 8.30pm) they called us and asked if we'd like them to keep us a cold platter. We said yes and we were very glad we had - it was lovely - chicken, ham, salad, cheese, coleslaw - all tasted very fresh and was welcome after our long day.

The room was spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom and the beds were comfortable. It was a spacious room and it was good to be in a twin room where the beds were more than 2mm apart, something many hotels are guilty of - not the Patterdale though.

Breakfast was lovely and a decent range of options. We had dinner in the hotel on the Saturday night and both thoroughly enjoyed the lamb we had for our main course. The dining room is comfortable and spacious. So too is the bar area where we sat for a while on both the Fridy and Saturday night.

Our room was on the first floor and despite being near the stairs we didn't experience any noise and were not aware of the guests on either side of us, the hotel was busy but we had no issues at all.

The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel.

We spent a weekend in the hotel recently, and couldn't fault the service. The room was comfortably basic, and clean and well serviced.
We arrived quite late so couldn't have had a meal in the dining room until 8.30, which was a bit late for us, so the receptionist suggested we eat in the bar, this was quieter than the dining room and we still received excellent service. On the Saturday night we were going to the theatre in Keswick, and would have been pushed for time, but were served quickly and given our desserts for a treat later. We were pleased to have gone out, as a birthday party was going on, and the bar was still busy on our return, but the noise did not travel to our room, which was far enough away for us not to be disturbed by returning revellers.
The staff could not be faulted for their courtesy and attention
