My Navy Command had our formal "Dining Out" event at the Westin which was wildly successful. The facilities were elegant, the Banquet staff was outstanding and the hotel staff was more than accommodating to all of our guests. The entire event was enhanced by the professional attitude of the entire hotel staff and the unique location of Beale Street. We had three meal choices, with all three selections exceeding the expectations of everyone in attendance. The hotel rooms were elegant and offered scenic views of downtown Memphis. I strongly recommend the Westin for any event your company may consider having downtown. We have plans to continue having all of our formal events at the Westin from here on out. This entire experience exceeded all of my expectations!!

Room tip: You want a room as high up as possible that offers views of Beale Street and the FedEx Forum.

The staff of this hotel are friendly and polite. I'll give them that much. However, the luster wore off quickly. Room service dinner was delivered in lukewarm fashion (closer to cold than hot) on the first evening of the stay. Room did not receive maid service during the next day until the maid service finally arrived at 5:30PM at which time it was not at all convenient to step out to have the room cleaned. Entirely too late for this kind of room freshening. No excuse can cover up this poor service. Then the second night of my stay, there was a barking dog for over 30 minutes in the room next to mine. I had a room with a pass-through door to the next room (I detest these set-ups because of their reduced sound containment capabilities). It was after 10PM and I was awaken by this dog and lost valuable sleep time while the dog continued barking until some action was finally taken. A hotel that accepts dogs needs to be more prompt in doing something about noisy dogs. Frankly, I will never stay at this hotel again. The value for the price was not there. And there are many other good options in Memphis.

Room tip: Ask for a room without the internal pass-through door. They are not so soundproof.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and attended an event at the Forum. We decided to stay here since it was right across the street. Very friendly at check in. GiGi was amazing in helping us. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I called days prior to my check in date to ask what my total would be to ensure I had the correct credit card with me. I was told the total, but was not informed of the $100 hold for incidentals. So at check in my card was declined because I was I not aware. Had I known, I would have paid my card down more to ensure funds were there! GiGi worked everything out and we got to check in. She apologized for whomever left out that info, and we enjoyed our stay!!! I will stay here again!!!

Dear dwash08

Congratulations! Thank you for choosing Westin to celebrate your anniversary. I apologize for the misinformation, but I'm very happy to hear that Gigi was able to turn around that incident for you. She has the qualities in a associate that you just can't teach. It's wonderful that you will stay with us again and we will forward to the opportunity to serve you.

My company works with a printer in Memphis and we visit the city fairly regularly. We have stayed across a number of hotels in the area, but The Westin Memphis Beale Street is our absolute favorite. They greet you when you check-in, it is close to local sites, the Wifi is reliable, the gym is sizable and new, and there is a Starbucks right at the base of the hotel (which is always helpful to start the morning off). I completely recommend this hotel for business travelers in the Memphis area!

Room tip: If you are sensitive to noise, maybe ask if the room faces the lights / sounds of Beale Street. There was definitely noise from the street.

Dear cdesvaux

Thank you for choosing Westin. It's a great compliment that we are your absolute favorite. I'm in agree that attached Starbucks is a great start to my day. Also, all of the coffee served within our guest rooms are Starbucks as well. We look forward to you staying with us again.

Upon my arrival, I was informed that my SPG Platinum upgrade could not be honored. However, the very friendly front desk staff instead gave me an even better upgrade to an Executive Suite. The room was incredible and included a spacious living room, beautiful bedroom, and exceptionally-appointed master bath. Housekeeping staff was first-rate, and both the restaurant and room service we excellent. I look forward to staying again.
