We stayed here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and it was wonderful! The cabins were well maintained and the area was beautiful during the fall. Breakfast was delicious, service was great and they had a ton of recommendations for hiking and wine tasting (thank you, Heidi!).

Room tip: Splurge on the hillside cabins. Soooo worth it!

We stayed at The Iris Inn for a Valentine's weekend getaway and it was just perfect! The Inn is beautiful, warm and inviting. We arrived on Friday and were warmly greeted by Heidi and shown to our room the Pine Room. Had everything we needed including a refrigerator stocked with water and sodas and a wonderful view! We went to many of our favorite antique stores in the area and just relaxed and enjoyed the warm fire in the lobby. They also have a nightly wine tasting that we did not participate in, but everyone seemed to be enjoying it and we thought it was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious!Did like the fact too that it was very easy to get to off of Interstate 64, but also far enough away to feel like you were in the middle of the mountains. We loved it so much that we are returning there very soon for another nice weekend and will be going to the Fleetwood Mac Concert in Charlottesville while there.

This was our first excursion to the Iris Inn. We had heard before that the owners were very nice and accommodating and that the inn was a great place for a getaway. We weren't disappointed. We chose to stay in the inn itself (friends stayed in one of the cabins.) Room was very comfortable with a nice view of the valley below. Dave and Heidi, the owners, greeted us when we arrived and made us feel at home right away. The day manager Glenn was also very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the wine tasting late in the afternoon and breakfast in the morning was excellent. I'd highly recommend the Iris Inn to anyone looking to stay at a B&B in the Waynesboro/Staunton area.

Room tip: Cabins are very nicely appointed with some kitchen facilities, fireplace and hot tub. A cabin will be more expensive. Rooms at the inn itself are more basic with a small refrigerator, but still very nice.

This was my second time staying at the Iris Inn, and I couldn't have asked for more. My room (the Garden Path Cottage) was lovely - sunny, spacious, secluded, and very clean. The breakfasts were delicious, and I enjoyed the wine hour every evening as well. The staff is super friendly and helpful. This is the perfect place to get away from it all and unwind, while still enjoying awesome amenities and not having to trek too far into the wilderness. I highly recommend the Iris Inn!

Room tip: Rooms in the Inn facing west have a wonderful view of the valley, town, and distant mountains; great for sunsets. Rooms facing east face into the woods so they're very private and the morning light is lovely. The Deep Woods Cottage and Garden Path Cottage (I've stayed in both) are amazing. Very spacious, lots of windows, super comfortable, and they feel really private. Deep Woods faces east and Garden Path faces west. I haven't stayed in a cabin but it seemed like cabin #1 would be the most private, while cabins #4 and #5 would have the best views.

3rd visit to the Iris Inn. 2nd stay in one of the couples cabins which are incredible. Everyone at the Inn makes you feel like part of the family. Service is great. Wonderful breakfast and wine tasting every night. If you want the perfect location for a relaxing break give the Iris Inn a try. You won't be disappointed.

Room tip: Spend the extra money for one of the cabins. They are very special, quiet and have a lot of privacy, especially in your private hot tub on the rear deck. But you cannot go wrong staying in any of the rooms.
