Wonderful place, easy going, friendly, fun, eclectic, no fuss, great surroundings, and great food.
Not cheap bar food, but rather local ingredients & well prepared. I am not a food critic, I'm just saying: It tasted delicious to me. They have their menu available on-line, if you want to check out the type of food.
The atmosphere is the best: an unencumbered directness of serving you good food, with a reminder that life isn't all that serious: laugh a little!
I saw reviews that people had bad service experience. We didn't encounter any issues, and the place was hopping. Yes, you didn't have some water-boy hover around your table anticipating your very next move - but who wants that anyways? We walked into the wrong door to begin with (the patio in the back), and the waitress just laughed & pulled us up front to figure out seating. Locals chatted with us, telling us about the place (you quickly will distinguish yourself as a non-local by the way you turn your head to take in all the unique decorations in this place). We didn't have any reservations, but they squeezed us in with a smile. The atmosphere was fun and loud, chatter, laughter, and music. As I said, no problem with the service, and the food was delicious. We got the special, cheese-encrusted halibut. It was no problem to ask if we can share this dish. And along with the appetizer we ordered, it was plenty of food. The bread they served was extra yummy, and when asked, the server said: "Oh, I make that myself every day. It's different all the time. Hmm.... I'm trying to remember what I put in this time, now that you all like it so much!"
I highly recommend this place! Go there and enjoy yourself and your dining neighbors, and some locally caught halibut.
