The Residence Inn Anchorage Midtown is quiet, comfortable, and clean. The rooms are spacious and are perfect for a business traveler than needs some extra room the spread out. I was a little disappointed to discovered that the largest bed available was a queen-size bed. However, the bed was comfortable and clean. My only issue with my room was purely attention to detail in painting and decor. Contrasting paint did not have clean lines. The two-tone lamp shades look dirty and cheap, as well as some of the light fixtures in the room.

The exterior of the building looked clean, the hallways looked tired and in need of some updating.

The staff was friendly and helpful. One piece of advice: don't sing out a guest's name in a jingle... it was a little weird hearing another dude playfully sing my name.

Another item for improvement: establish some sort of smoker structure. On several occausions I walked outside to smokers smoking right outside of doors, despite the "No smoking within 25 foot of doors" signs.

Last item to improve: the WiFi needs some work.

The hotel is centrally located in Anchorage allowing easy access to Midtown, and a short trip to Downtown. The hotel is also situated away from street noise... great job!

I am particular about my lodging; I would stay here again.

The staff are very friendly and dedicated to making your stay "just like home". Everyone is willing to help, it is like a stay at your best friends house. Thank you for giving me a home away from home!

We spent the night for my daughter's birthday. On the phone, the staff was very nice about allowing a few kids there to swim and spend the night. I booked a 2-room suite but upon arrival at 3pm, were told that our room was not ready. We were commanded to go wait in the lobby area. Each time I attempted to ask a question, I was told to wait...but our room might be ready soon.
The hotel itself is okay. I think it has tremendous potential but feels worn out and tired. Some small updates would likely make the property feel more cheery and comfortable. I am guessing that it is a Medicaid hotel because the number of crutches, walkers and wheel chairs about was significant.
The pool area is decent, but the pool furniture is not terribly functional for an indoor pool. The furniture is cloth that gets wet and looks stained. Not appealing.
Nothing particularly wrong, nothing outstanding either.

Dear Gina Struble,

Thank you for taking the time to provide this valuable feedback.

As we pride ourselves on delivering a memorable hotel experience during your travels, we have unfortunately fallen short of our goal during your recent stay. Please accept our sincere apology that your family had to wait to check in to the room as well as the manner in which you were asked to wait. The description that you provided does not sound pleasant I am truely sorry that had that experience. I also apologize that the condition of the hotels' facilities were not to your standards. We have shared your feedback with the appropriate hotel team members to make improvements for the future.

The Residence Inn does not accept Medicaid as a form of payment. However, due to the hotels' location near Providence Hospital and Alaska Native Medical Center there are guests that are staying for various medical reasons.

Once again, thank you for your valued feedback and we hope to serve you again in the future.

It was an awesome experience. we went swimming most of the day. the front lady could be a little nicer but overall it was fun and loved how much space we had in each room. Me and my family loved the stay here and thought it was really great to come back to.

Room tip: If you have a chance to get the two room suite I say get it. its huge.

This hotel was well worth the price. They offer a decent breakfast and their evening get togethers are great too. If you stay at this hotel make sure you have transportation because you'll need to drive to restaurants. They picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at the train station. They're ver accommodating.
