The Residence Inn Anchorage Midtown is quiet, comfortable, and clean. The rooms are spacious and are perfect for a business traveler than needs some extra room the spread out. I was a little disappointed to discovered that the largest bed available was a queen-size bed. However, the bed was comfortable and clean. My only issue with my room was purely attention to detail in painting and decor. Contrasting paint did not have clean lines. The two-tone lamp shades look dirty and cheap, as well as some of the light fixtures in the room.
The exterior of the building looked clean, the hallways looked tired and in need of some updating.
The staff was friendly and helpful. One piece of advice: don't sing out a guest's name in a jingle... it was a little weird hearing another dude playfully sing my name.
Another item for improvement: establish some sort of smoker structure. On several occausions I walked outside to smokers smoking right outside of doors, despite the "No smoking within 25 foot of doors" signs.
Last item to improve: the WiFi needs some work.
The hotel is centrally located in Anchorage allowing easy access to Midtown, and a short trip to Downtown. The hotel is also situated away from street noise... great job!
I am particular about my lodging; I would stay here again.
