Montefalco is a typical medieval walled hill town, with the Hotel Degli Affreschi set in the centre, within easy access to the main piazza and a number of good restaurants. The young couple managing the hotel Claudia and Stefano, are warm and friendly, we had a wonderful Italian welcome on arrival following a walk from Bevanga. They are willing to go the extra mile, even getting my wife a coffee from the café across the small piazza when she was reading outside.
The room was clean and spacious rooms, although the bathroom and shower were a bit cramped. A feature of Italian hotels it seems. We has a view over the Umbrian country side with some great sunsets and even in the centre of town the noise was virtually nothing with very good sound-tight windows.
Breakfast was served in a quaint room, it was simple but adequate with a typical buffet arrangement. Will stay here again and recommend to friends and family.More
