Fascinating place to remember to stay away but very comfort and convenient to spend time just enjoy & relax ourselves. It's worth to spend days & nights with families or the loved one with the harmony atmosphere. Getting closed to the nature while we can still have whatever we needed by distance. Want a city life, is not more than expected within 20 min drive, we hit the shopping mall. The place is cleaned and well done with all the facilities we wanted.

Myself, family and friend had a most enjoyable and relaxing your wonderful and superbly managed Muthi Maya Resort!

Besides the fantastic natural scenery, the complete facilities and the very comfortable private pool villas we must point specifically to the high levels of pampering service standards which we experienced non-stop and throughout the resort! All of the staff are exceptionally friendly, courteous, professional and always willing to go the "extra step" to please all requests and wishes of our party! We like to jointly point out that ALL MANAGEMENT AND STAFF were outstanding but we like to specifically point to the following members of the team:

- Khun Pink (exceptional at the front desk)
- Khun Fah (Very good at receptionist)
- Khun Man (efficient and always smiling Bell staff)
- Khun X (friendly and smiling housekeeping staff)
- Khun Su (exceptional restaurant supervisor)
- Khun Pon, Khun Nooleek, Khun Vi and Khun Tum who did serve us at the breakfast and/or restaurant as well as room service.

A special thanks also to the two Chef's Khun Noi and Pong as well as to the two waiters Khun Pon and Nu who were exceptionally friendly and professional to set-up and to serve the private BBQ in one of our Villas. A special "Thank's" also to the housekeeping team, florist and stewards who did take part in setting up the beautiful decorations for our BBQ evening.

Overall the food was very good throughout our meal periods including the elaborate daily breakfast buffet. The private BBQ meat and seafood was very good in taste and freshness! The dinner at the restaurant was also very good with mushroom soup as the highlight along with the pasta and salads as well as steaks.

Breakfast buffet was great! The smoked salmon was of top quality and so was the balance of the overall food selection including the nice farmers marmalade, cottage yogurts and home made waffles and breads. We also enjoyed the high quality coffee served for breakfast and even trough room service; nice touch to separate the foam in the cup and to deliver the coffee in a thermo pot!! I also in particular enjoyed the fresh strawberries with vanilla ice cram and raspberry sauce for one of my room service orders!

In the Villas almost everything was perfect! We appreciated the comfortable beds and the crisp linen as well as soft towels which were very clean and fresh smelling! The free minibar was appreciated and so was the Nespresso machine.
The bathrooms were well stocked with all the amenities and the shampoo, soap etc of fantastic quality! TV Program selection for English channels seems a little limited and a program guide would be nice.
The private pools within the Villas (as well as main hotel pool) were very clean and the relaxing areas around are just perfect to enjoy a wonderful time under sunny skies or moonlight nights! The pick-up and drop-off service from and to Villa was excellent and swift and so was the valet car service. Security guards were all very attentive, friendly and always saluted while passing them.

My family also commented very positively about their spa experience as being one of the best they ever had! I'am sorry that I not opted for a treatment but I will do so next time!

Thank's to the entire Muthi Maya Team for a wonderful experience and I (we) will certainly be back!!

Cheers
PS: a special thank's also to the Hotel Manager Khun Kriengsak for the ongoing attention towards our well-being whilst at Muthi Maya!

Stayed here for 2 nights before moving over to Kirimaya tented villa for one night. The resort took us 3 hrs to reach by car from the airport.

Really loved the pool villa and the beautiful mountainous surroundings. Highly recommend this hotel for this 2 reasons.

The villa is spacious with a huge private pool overlooking the moutains. The rooms are spacious too and the decor is nice too. There is a nespresson machine in the villa with a huge fridge that comes with soft drinks and mineral water that are complimentary.

The bathroom is really big but there should be 2 sinks in the bathroom like what we will find in other similar types of villas elsewhere. There is an extra toilet near the entrance.

The resort pool is enjoyable too with scenic surroundings.

There is otherwise no other facilities available at Muthi Maya besides a library. You have to go to the sister resort Kirimaya if you want to use the gym or spa.

As for the service, the staff were all very friendly and smiling and greets you when they see you. English standards varies but some staff could speak good English.

There were a few hiccups when we were staying there though. Firstly, we arranged for an aiport transfer from the hotel but the driver who was from a company they outsourced to didn't know the exact location of the resort and he even asked us where the resort is when we reach the Khao Yai region. We used the hotel to arrange for an aiport transfer to avoid getting lost and so it kindda defeated the purpose.

Another problem was with the Bat cave and night safari excursion we booked. We waited for half an hour but the guide never turned up. We asked the staff to check and they had problems contacting him. Finally they got him and found out that the car was involved in a car accident and we couldn't do the bat cave but they could send another car for the night safari. We were disappointed but luckily we are staying one more night in the sister resort and asked it to be postphoned till the next day. In the night, we receive a letter of apology from the resort and they waived the charge of the excursion for 1 pax. It was great service recovery from the resort!

We wanted to try the in-villa BBQ but it was not available as they say they need 24hrs to prepare even though we tried to arrange it at 10pm the night before.

Food is a little overpriced in this resort although the quality is not bad.

Despite all these, I would still strongly recommend this resort to people coming to this area. It is a hidden gem that is not discovered yet!

Room tip: Mountain views should be nicer.

Great resort. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Food is great. Nice for a relaxing holiday.

Taxis to go out of the resort are fairly expensive. Get snacks and wine / alcohol so that you are not so reliant on the hotel food.

Mosquito spray a must! Not many mosquitoes but if one gets into your room, it can get very annoying.

Ask for a villa facing the golf course and near the reception.

Breakfast buffet is superb. Thai restaurant Acala very good. Reasonably priced. The Myth has great Italian and Japanese food but expensive.

Decent gym.
