The location of this hotel was amazing, the resort runs straight to the beach with it's own cute bar that sells shisha and cocktails, there are also a few fire acts, and they are more than willing to teach you if you ask nicely (with the practice ones, not fire). The food was cheap and very nice. The pool is tiny so don't book this hotel is you want a pool side holiday.
It was very hit and miss with the staff as some were very friendly and happy and the rest were very grumpy.
It's next door to ark bar so it can get a little noisy, however once my door was closed I couldn't hear anything.
If you want a good night out, head to the green mango club which is only 2 mins walk away and always seems to be busy.

After asking around for an hour we found this hotel. It was meant to be 1000 baht per night, but we haggled it down to 900 baht per night. The Thai lady at the reception was exceptionally genuine and she really wanted to help us at all times. The hotel is in the beach front (which is very shallow to swim), and has a pool (which is also too shallow to swim). The hotel was located next door to ark bar - great bar with great music. We had a room at the back and on the second floor and did not hear a thing from ark bar at all during our stay. The rooms were very clean as they got cleaned every day.Now the beach bar.....The music is always on repeat and usually drown out by the music from ark bar. Although you are a guest in the hotel, you will have to buy a drink in order to use their seats!!!There is a happy hour from 3-8pm everyday. Drinks are avarage. For the same money or a little bit extra, I would much rather go to ark bar next door. One a small note...DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SHISHA...It is very very very dissapointing. And if you do decide to tell them that their shisha is bad, they will tell you that you need to be careful and become extremely aggresive, and get ready to be THREATENED. Beware of this very dodgy, rude and disrespectful people. They were the rudest Thai people we met in our trip so far. I would strongly recommend the hotel, but do stay away from the bar.

My first impression was not so good when we were being shown different rooms by a rather blunt Thai lady from reception. She probably saw from the looks on our faces that we had been exposed to lovelier looking rooms, so she knocked off a very convincing THB 200 off the room rate and we ended up taking a first floor twin room for a very reasonable THB 1150.

Now to the room: It's rather basic and will certainly not win a design award. The furniture is a kind of dirty yellow and together with the red fridge was an interesting choice of colour. Beds were ok, not too hard. There's a cupboard where you can put your stuff and which houses the safe. I liked that you had to use your own lock for the safe. Bathroom was nothing special but clean and shower was hot and strong. Room was bright since there was a long rectangular window near the ceiling, instead of just wall (felt like in "The Beach"!). But this also meant lots of light in the room, especially in the morning, that was annoying. There is a lovely terrace outside with a metal rail to hang your washing.

I gave 4 stars because of the quality of the fittings which must have been a high standard when the resort was built. Soundproof walls, gas power shower, Honeywell air-conditioning and fan unit with lots of different settings. This was all top quality and especially the air con and fan was one of the best we had seen! Very powerful and nice to have a choice of one or the other - or both.

Don't:

Book this resort for its pool. It's so tiny, shallow and unsatisfying and gets dirty quickly, they had to close it one day for cleaning. The floor is not even. I think I could build a pool like that.

Forget to bring ear plus. You're next to Ark bar. Yes, it's loud you can hear the banging music until 2am most nights.

Worry if you forgot your book. They have free ones in different languages near the reception :)

Do:

Eat in the restaurant. Very good and cheap food!

Have a drink at the beach bar, they make great cocktails. But go during happy hour (2-4-1, from 3pm I think), otherwise you pay THB 180 per drink.

Location wise it doesn't get any better. This is one of the best budget accommodation on Chaweng Beach and we would definitely stay here again if we're on a low budget.

Tip: Wifi was NOT free, like some booking sites suggest. You pay THB 100 for 24 hours. When I did I got a password printed on a small piece of paper. The next evening I paid again but got funny looks at reception. I was told it's the same password, so there's no sophisticated method of checking your usage. I stopped paying from then and it still worked.

Room tip: Rooms close to Ark Bar are very noisy. Perhaps on the other side you won't hear the banging music so much.

P&P is a nice little resort, located directly on Chaweng Beach, with it's own access to the beach, however no beach loungers, which was a bit of a let down but I could live with that. Being on the beach was what I wanted so this was a really nice place to stay. I had my own little 'hut', which was nice and arranged like a honeymoon suite when I arrived. The decor was not the nicest but on Koh Samui, you hardly want to stay in your room all day, which meant I definitely didn't care. The rooms are cleaned every day, which is nice and there is a fan and aircon in the room. The resort has a nice little pool, with deck chairs, which was definitely a cute highlight. Unfortunately, for the high price I was paying, there was no free breakfast. I had an omelette from the restaurant once, which was really nice but apart from that, I ate breakfast in Arc Bar, next door, where the cheese toasties are especially nice. ;) The wi-fi was a bit of a let-down, as the connection in the room was terrible but in public areas it was ok. Chaweng Beach is not far from the airport so you get planes flying overhead every hour, which I found cool but I can see that some people might find it annoying. Another thing is the Arc Bar next door. They have a pool party every night and the music can be pretty loud at night. I stayed close to the beach but I would recommend getting a room a bit further away, as I imagine you wouldn't be able to hear the music as loud. P&P was the most expensive accommodation I stayed in during my Thailand trip but since it's right on the beach, has a pool and nice rooms, the prices are totally ok. I booked online but if you just arrive, you could probably barter for better prices (perhaps only in low season). Staff weren't as friendly as I would have liked them to be but I didn't have any problems with unfriendliness either. P&P is also just a stones throw away from the nightlife (Green Mango, etc), which makes it a good place to stay if you're on your own or in a group.

I knew that Samui was more expensive than Koh Phan Gan, where I'd left, so my expectations weren't high when I booked the P&P online.
I was pleasantly surprised with the place, rooms are clean/ tidy and spacious. Mine had a fridge, AC and a fan, with a lively balcony.
You are right on the beach, with the main night entertainment areas 2 mins away, but, unlike other posters, I wasn't disturbed by noise.
The hotel is directly under the airport approach, so planes do create some daytime noise.
Rooms were cleaned every day to a good standard.
Recommended!
