Jaipur overview

The Pink City won its nickname for the glorious pink stucco buildings that line its wide streets. The capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur contains a plethora of impressive palaces and forts, including Amber and Jaigarh forts and City Palace and Hawa Mahal. It’s a great place to find carpets, jewelry and handicrafts or to get unusual camel leather slippers or bags at the bazaars. Hop on a cycle-rickshaw to cover short distances, but opt for taxis for excursions to nearby palaces and national parks.
