Kruger National Park overview

Running along the Mozambique border in South Africa's east and touching Zimbabwe in the north, Kruger is the country's largest game reserve (at over 7,300 square miles) and is considered its flagship national park. Home to over 300 types of trees, more than 500 bird species, 100+ reptiles and nearly 150 kinds of mammals (more than any other African reserve), Kruger has also long been home to that other mammal, man, and the park encompasses the Masorini and Thulamela archaeological sites.
