Perth - Kuala Lumpur
International
Our initial flight on 7/03/24 had been rescheduled, subsequently cancelled and rescheduled by Bo, AirAsia's virtual assistant, to 08/03/24. This would have resulted in hotel 'no-show' and loos of monies. Managed to reschedule to 06/03/24 but noticed that some of the prepaid add-ons were missing and seat allocation differed. Eventually managed to speak to a humanoid who advised that I was requested an additional change, and it would cost more. After some words, his limited intelligence sparked to life and the amended itinerary was issued, still minus a prepaid meal. Unable to complete on-line check-in and arrived at the airport to be shunted between 3 counters as staff were unable to complete the process. I was assured that everything was in order, but a glitch was interfering with the process. After some 45 minutes or so I eventually received boarding passes. Boarding was efficient, great flight, comfortable seats and abundant legroom, friendly inflight service and received my meal after discussion, quick disembarkation at KLIA2 and baggage had received priority treatment. Now, if only Bo would follow the route out like Ava and customers be able to liaise with real live personnel, these glitches might be eliminated.

Took Batik to KL, and AirAsia back. Both budget airlines, and miles apart. Batik had a great plane, and complimentary meals for kids. On the other hand with AirAsia, courteously and good customer service must be one of those add in extras you need to pay for (bit like check baggage). AirAsia ground staff in KL are horrible and view customers as a burden. Struggled to find assistance anywhere. Boarded the plane, and sat on tarmac 2 hrs waiting for late connections (read, we must fill the plane and don't give a stuff if 300 people need to wait). We were given a complimentary bottle of water for the delay, and when I asked if I could have a 2nd the reply was "no" (recall the free Batik meal for kids). Get back to Perth, one suitcase is completely ruined. Contact AirAsia (as per instructions at Perth Airport) and their response "as we don't handle and oversee the baggage at the airport, we are not liable". This situation occurs 100% of the time, so AirAsia must be the only airline in the world that has zero liability for your suitcase. Batik might be hit and miss, but AirAsia is ALWAYS a miss.

Kuala Lumpur - Ho Chi Minh City
Southeast Asia
Starting from our check-in until we reached Ho Chi Minh, we experienced an excellent and highly comfortable flight. In my perspective, Air Asia, being a budget airline, stands on par with major airlines. The only drawback was our return journey; we opted to pay for a 3-hour relaxation session in the Air Asia lounge, but unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. The quality was significantly lacking, and we won't be choosing this option again.

Sydney - Kuala Lumpur

Our trip up to Malaysia started with another great flight experience from AirAsia X. Easy check in at Sydney International with our bags checked through to our final destination (not KL). No problems with boarding and the in flight service was great. Overall a fantastic experience and yes we will use this airline again in the future.

As expected, there is no screen therefor no entreatment, or paid internet connection etc. They are very strict on the carry-on luggage , one luggage and max 7 kg, i can not understand why, one passenger can easily over-weight me 10kg+, you have to pay more at the airport the price even higher than add-on options on the app. The app is useless in the check-in process, they has many staff and cost on the check-in. I will fly with Batik Air and other airlines, will never fly AirAsia anymore.

最近は平日でもかなりの搭乗率になりました。クワイエットゾーンでもほぼ満席のことも。 座席は狭いので隣に大柄の人が来ると大変です。
