I got back from vacation on June 29th and my suitcase never made it home. It has been almost a month and I have called multiple times to ask about reimbursement for having to repurchase so many lost items. I have repeatedly been told to “be patient” and have had extremely slow response over email. I am understanding over losing my bag but I’m livid about not getting a response about reimbursement when I’ve submitted expenses, called, and emailed asking at least for a direct answer/timeline. Every reply has just been to “be patient” and “we are actively working on it”. This is absolutely ridiculous to not get a straightforward answer after a month. I will never fly through Air Canada again and I highly discourage anyone who travels to use them.

I flew Air Canada on May 21/24 from home to Calgary, then to London, UK; on the way back, June 10/24, from Venice to Toronto then home. Domestically the flights were okay, the seats were small being a domestic flight, one snack for the 1 hour flight; internationally the flights were very nice because the seats were fairly comfortable with a bit more room and 2 meals and 2 times for drink rounds during the flights, I was the only one in my row while flying to London so I had tons of room to stretch and sleep. The service was great from the flight attendants as well and the choice for movies and other entertainment was decent so there was no way to be bored. Overall, I enjoyed the flights going to Europe and back, domestically they were okay. 4 of 5 for nice planes 4 of 5 for quality seats on International flights 4 of 5 for variety of entertainment 4.5 overall of everything

First, if there was a zero rating I would choose that. We checked in online, no seat assignments, got to Pearson international 3 hours early, asked about our seats -“go to the gate.” We walked to the gate-“closed for local flights, will open 45 minutes before boarding,” Checked online , we are on standby. called agent, “you will have to wait to get a seat,” Still sitting and waiting for the entry to the gate. I’ll leave conclusions up to the reader to decide what level of competency exists at Pearson international and Air Canada. By the way, this is not the first nor is it the only issues we have had in the past.

I have been a loyal customer of Air Canada for many years, specifically during the 13 years from 2008 when my job required frequent travel. Whenever possible, I chose Air Canada for my journeys. However, I have observed a decline in the quality of service, particularly after significant events such as 9/11 and the COVID-19 pandemic. Regrettably, I have noticed that the attentiveness and politeness of the flight attendants have diminished. In comparison to other airlines I have traveled with, such as Qatar Airways, Lufthansa, KLM, Turkish Airlines, Korean Air, British Airways, and various American carriers, Air Canada's service has not been up to par. My recent experience with Lufthansa was particularly pleasant; the crew treated passengers with genuine smiles and excellent service. In contrast, Air Canada's flight attendants often display a demeanor that suggests they view themselves as victims, and this attitude unfortunately affects their interactions with passengers. Their choice of words and tone can be quite sharp. For instance, during a recent flight, there was turbulence, and the captain announced that hot beverages would not be served due to safety concerns, and the seatbelt sign was illuminated. When the seatbelt sign was later turned off, a flight attendant approached to offer drinks. I mentioned that I would like a coffee but was aware that hot beverages were not being served due to the turbulence. Instead of a polite clarification, the attendant responded with, "Can't you see the seatbelt light came off?" Her words were laced with sarcasm, which I found quite unpleasant. As a result of these experiences, I have decided to choose other airlines for my future travels. My wife and I will be traveling to Europe this October, and we have chosen not to fly with Air Canada. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration to improve the service quality and customer experience. I hope this version conveys your message in a more professional and attentive manner.

Worst customer experience during boarding. An employee at the counter was struggling with English badly. Another employee made us check in carryons for being half an inch over the limit size despite two little kids. That woman has some real issues with kids as other families were treated same way from her.
