The legroom was terribly small for a 12hrs flight. I booked economy premium in advance but somehow the seat numbers changed on the day of flight and had to fly economy. One of the cabin crew said oh let me check it for you and then told me no it seems right, this is your seat, even though I shown my booking for the premium economy, he said he has no idea without putting slightest effort o effort was put to changey sit for what I actually paid for! After the flight I sent an email to Lufthansa and got a refund for the premium economy booking, with zero explanation. Also the cabin personnel were very reluctant to help anyone with anything, even a simple thing like giving someone a glass of water! If you would ask a couple of times you would get it with some passive-aggressive attitude! These apart, for the rest you get what you paid for, fair but very average experience. Overall, in the future I most definitely avoid flying with Lufthansa as much as possible.…

The only positive things I can write are: We appreciated the lounge in Hamburg. The service on board was friendly. They served a lot of food on board. But the seating was cheap and uncomfortable, thin basic airline seats. The airport experience where we changed planes in Frankfurt was extremely unpleasant. That is an airport that is in need of a renovation, very crowded no place to sit, tiny ugly bathrooms. And we had to take time-wasting buses to and from the planes. Not a great business class experience.…

I travel extensively. This was my first and last flight on Lufthansa. The check-in representative was abrupt and disrespectful. The boarding process was confused chaos. Limited late announcements and uncontrolled disorder. It was like a mass rush to escape the airport. First the full bus rides out to the plane on the tarmac. Then People randomly boarded from the front and the rear of the plane, which caused complete gridlock in the aisles. The food was the worst most inedible fare I have ever experienced. The beef roulade simply looked like a hunk of heated dog food. Although I’ve not eaten dog food, after tasting this, I would not feed it to my dog. I was on an A340 plane in Premium Economy. I was searching for a restroom and finally wandered into the Business Class section. I was promptly and sharply advised “my toilets were down below”. I had no idea what this meant. I subsequently located the restrooms down a staircase in the middle of the plane. From start to finish this airline was a bad experience. If you have any other option, I suggest you take it…

On the trip to Catania we were given 20 hours notice that the trip was cancelled. We spent 3 hours between Lufthansa and United trying to get rebooked. We were succesful but it took 2 of us on 2 phones over 3 hours being bounced between the two airlines. On my 8 hour flight when meals distrubuted I was told there were no more and I was given an extra Vegan meal they had.…
