Showed up to our 5:20 AM flight in plenty of time. Waited to board as the attendant announced that they were waiting on one flight attendant that was running late. They announced it a second time, that a flight attendant was running late.
We finally boarded the flight 58 minutes after our 5:20 scheduled departure.
Then, we sat on the tarmac for over 2 hours waiting to be de-iced. The explanation that was given to us twice, was that they were short staffed on the de-icing truck crew.
We get to philly, and clearly missed our connecting flight to Cancun. No worries, they'll make it right, was what I was thinking. Ha........definitely not the case!
Their best solution was to put us on a plane at 9:PM, send us back to Detroit, then send us back to Cancun in the morning.
It's gets even better. So we had all of our luggage, but they refused to check it back in, so that we could get past security and actually eat something!
So basically they held us hostage, with our luggage in tow, in the ticketing area, with absolutely no way to get food or drinks.
And the whole time, they keep claiming that the delay was due to "weather"........which wasn't even close to the case.
