New South Wales
1. Martin Place Christmas Tree
- Where: Sydney CBD
- When: 27 Nov 2021 - 1 Jan 2022
Adorned with over 110,000 Christmas lights, a 3.4-metre colour-changing star and 330 glossy baubles, NSW’s tallest Christmas tree will once again be standing tall at Martin Place. This year’s tree will be dressed with 15,000 flowers in 9 varieties, each celebrating a unique species of Australian flower. A light show plays every 15 minutes from 7pm to midnight daily.
2. Darling Harbour Christmas Decorations

- When: 12 Nov - 26 Dec 2021
Visit Darling Harbour in the evenings for one of the best Christmas light displays in Sydney. Snap a family Christmas selfie at the kaleidoscopic Giant Bauble located outside ICC Sydney, then head over to the inaugural display of Sky Castle by ENESS, an interactive art sculpture that glows in a myriad of rainbow hues. 3. Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular

4. Christmas at the Grounds of Alexandria

The Grounds of Alexandria is celebrating a tale as old as time this Christmas. For the 30th anniversary of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, the Grounds has recreated iconic scenes from the classic film — complete with glittering chandeliers, romantic rose gardens and enchanted bookshelves. 1. South Bank Christmas

#MerryBrismas! The South Bank Parklands is coming to life this December with an array of family-friendly Christmas events. Don't miss the South Bank Christmas Show that's taking place nightly at 6.30pm and 8pm for non-stop singing, dancing, circus performances and Santa appearances. 2. The Enchanted Garden

Brisbane’s largest interactive light trail is back at the Travellers’ Choice 2021 award-winning Roma Street Parkland — and it’s bigger and better than ever. Visit to immerse in an 8,000sqm audiovisual extravaganza including 3D-printed birds, holograms, LED fields and more.

3. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is ringing in the holiday season with a fun ‘Blinky Bill’s Christmas Wishes’ song-and-dance show. The Sanctuary’s retail shop is also the perfect place to pick up a gift with a conscience. Each purchase will help support the work at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. 1. Santa's Wonderland

Adelaide’s biggest Christmas event, Santa’s Wonderland, will be packed with family-friendly festive fun this December. Each ticket entitles you to 3 hours of unlimited fair rides, ice skating, tobogganing, inflatables jumping, festival stage shows and more.
2. Rundle Mall Christmas Windows
- Where: Rundle Mall, Adelaide
- When: 5 Nov 2021 - 6 Jan 2022
Go window-shopping, Christmas-style. South Australia’s biggest retail destination has unveiled eight Christmas window displays, each telling an enchanting story of Christmas. New displays to look out for this year include a homage to the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant’s iconic rocking horses Nipper and Nimble, as well as a magical flower-filled Christmas in Bloom window designed by local florists Bloom Bar.
1. Melbourne Christmas Projections
- Where: Melbourne CBD
- When: 15 Nov - 25 Dec 2021
Melbourne’s CBD is decked out this Christmas. Stroll around Flinders Street Railway Station, Federation Square and Swanston Street to take in some of the best Christmas lights in town. The city’s famous Christmas projections will also be returning to the facades of the Melbourne Town Hall, Chapter House Lane and Hamer Hall.
2. Myer Christmas Windows
- Where: Bourke Street, Melbourne

Every Christmas, Myer decorates their department store windows with mesmerising festive setpieces. This year, their windows are bringing to life Beatrix Potter’s classic story, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, with 3000 hand-cut leaves, vegetables and flowers as well as over 100 individually animated animal movements.

3. String Bean Alley Christmas Night Market

Queen Victoria Market will be hosting a special Christmas market on Monday nights in December. Wander through the open-air String Bean Alley and pick up a variety of locally-made festive trinkets while indulging in some of the city’s best street food. 2. Christmas Lights Cruise
