About the operator
- cammy2222200Great Tour + Tour GuideHad an awesome time with our guide Dustin. He was very knowledgeable and patient, showing us around different parts of the tour. Would recommend this to future travellers who want to check out the area
- G1nsang00Awesome trip out to the mountain tops including stops at the Guanyin Waterfalls, Hot springs, Carton King and more...Our excellent guide "Dustin" was courteous and spoke extremely good English which made for an excellent tour with a great deal of information over the region and its history. He was also able to tailor the trip to suit our exact wishes which made the day very special and he even gave suggestions for evening festivities and restaurants we could visit after he dropped us back at our hotel.
- allegro38300Pleasant afternoon with boat and cable car ridesMost tourists go for the boat ride around the lake with a short visit to a temple. It would be more interesting to take the bus that goes around the lake and visit the majestic Wenwu Temple, or cycle around the lake, or do one of the walking trails in order to appreciate the breathtaking scenery.

We arrived by coach tour in the early evening and went right to the night market. I ate a few prawns a one stall. After walking and browsing another 50 feet or so, I got a whiff of Stinky Tofu. That killed my appetite. They tour company took us to a tall luxury hotel. We checked in on about the 10 floor and went to our room on about the 50th floor. It would have been a nice place if we were not expected on the bus at 0900 in the morning.

We were assured that we would have an English speaking Guide and were very disappointed to discover our driver, Vincent, had a very limited ability to speak or understand English.
It had also not been made clear to us before the tour that the Dashu Old Railway Sky Bridge was at least 90 minutes drive from the port and that the Pier 2 Arts Centre would be closed.
The car, a Toyota Wish is not suitable for 6 passengers. It was cramped and uncomfortable for six adults. As the first visit of the day was to the Railway Bridge by the time we'd got there and realised we had another long trip to get back to the port, albeit via other points of interest, the level of enjoyment for this tour had considerably diminished.
Vincent kept dropping us off to park the car and then we'd wait 5-10 minutes for hom to arrive and by the time we reached the Formosa Boulevard Station we insisted that we'd go to the car with him rather than hang around.
When we arrived at the British Consulate we found an entrance fee was needed which had not been advised before when arranging the trip.
This was our last port in Taiwan and this trip was such a let down when compared to the other tours we enjoyed in this country. I suspect that this company are fairly new to tours and they really need to up their game, their vehicles and their guides if they want to become a successful tour company.

With over 30 years of experience in the tourism field we have learnt to listen carefully to our clients and improve from our - or our suppliers’ - mistakes. However we want to mention that we have clearly specified the brand and model of the car before the tour.
Unluckily there have also been some unfortunate circumstances that day, i.e. exceptional closing of the art museum for the preparation of the 10/10 festivity, but we don't like to look for excuses and always listen carefully to our clients. There is however one part of the comment that we need to rectify, this is the fact that entrance tickets have never been included in the quotation as they are clearly advertised as "exclusion” in the Trip Advisor package.
We will be really happy to have you back in Taiwan and have the chance to provide A service that suits your expectations.
